I was there with a family of 5, on a Sunday. We had waited an hour in the bar side. After being seated in the restaurant, it was about 45 minutes before we got our food. One of the orders was wrong. And she decided to just keep the food, for she didn’t want to wait any longer. {Which evidently was standard to them.} Others around us also were waiting as long as we did. Then there was an elderly couple sitting next to us. We heard the gentleman let the waitress know both orders of food was incorrect. He was not rude in any manner. Then later another lady came over to speak with them. Perhaps a manager. It was not their server. The lady was getting loud, & we heard the gentleman tell her not only had they waited 40 minutes for their food but it was not even the food both of them had ordered. The lady proceeded to basically argue to say he would wait 40 minutes anywhere to eat in town. The elderly man got up and told her they were leaving. And he seemed calm and trying to be discreet, but the lady suddenly burst into an announcement & told him they could leave her restaurant ! She was so loud it turned everyone’s heads to her. I wasn’t sure what her point was since the gentleman already claimed he was going. So she brought unnecessary attention to the couple. She only made her restaurant look bad. The restaurant has now established poor service. And not sure what happened to her NOT APOLOGIZING to the couple. She obviously is not management material, if that is what she was. I felt so bad for the couple as they walked out of the restaurant. After leaving we had to walk a deep incline. And then thinking of the poor elderly couple that had to bear the walk back. I was very disappointed in the place and the way business was conducted.

I feel like this place has tons of potential. It’s on a boat with a beautiful view. They play music (old rock) and have a band with a bar on the opposite side away from the families. I don’t think very many people would expect more than American fried fatty snacks… it’s Indiana not Florida. An upgraded menu though would certainly set this place apart. The service is a bit slow and there was a wait. It happens… everyone is taking their time enjoying the experience not just the meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend silverware instead of plastic. It was hard to cut the fish and our napkins and plastics kept blowing in the wind. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

I usually never leave reviews but I was definitely let down. When I saw it was on the water and had great views, I just figured everything else would be too. The menu was small not many options to choose from and the food was just okay- nothing to write home about. I could have probably made better at home. And the service was not good at all. our waitress only checked on us once after that we only saw her bringing our food.

If you like basic, fried food this is an okay place. Nice location for a sunny day. It could use a little pick me up in the aesthetics department. If you are wanting lighter, fresher food then you won’t be satisfied with the menu. The staff was pleasant.

2023 update: they have brought in a new barge which has an open air upper deck. They also seem to have more staff than in previous years, so the service was faster. Most of the menu is fried food, burgers or sandwiches, but they do offer a large salad with grilled chicken.

New owners definitely ruined this place. First, was denied being able to move to another table to be out of the sun. 30 minutes after our order our appetizer showed up with our food. Not busy at all. No background music like their used to be. Totally new menu items, missing old favorites of ours. The new owners apparently never ate there or have no idea how to run a business. Will not be going back.
