These kind ladies know what they’re doing. Amazing food, great service and more than fair pricing. Walked in starving, walked out full with a smile on my face. The Durango burger was to die for and the blueberry pie was delectable. Will absolutely be back to get a breakfast plate soon!

I wanted to have breakfast with my mother alone and just connect. We had an opportunity to go into Salida and anywhere, she said we should go to Riverside Cafe. She loves Sheryl and likes going to a restaurant in her town! I was all for it because this saved a trip back and forth to Salida. And more time to connect with my mom! Sheryl was out at doctors, and someone new was covering the restaurant. With heart and focus she did a great job meeting customers needs, greeting us and making us feel welcome.

Great find on our way North to Salida. They let us use their outdoor deck seating so we could keep our two dogs with us. They had excellent burgers from fresh local beef and homemade pecan pie. They gladly accomodated my wife’s food allergies.

I absolutely do not like to leave negative reviews but this time I’ll make an exception. The fried chicken was bland, french fries cold, my wife’s burger overcooked. The waitress never brought me the ketchup for my fries I had pleasantly requested, and my tea glass remained empty the entire time. I understand it could have an anomaly so I will give them another chance…only one.

My sister & I Had lovely lunch last week on our road trip thru Salida…….our server Irene (Iron) was breath of fresh air…just what an out of towner would want for intro to your little town. Irene’s caring manner & interest in her customers was a delight…( & we tipped her accordingly) thank you again.Irene (Iron) we will be back on our next road trip……& the food was great & plentiful…….
