The worst dining experience I have had in a long time. When we got there, there was no one there. That should have been the first clue. Waitress was disengaged, like she didn’t really care to be there! The walleye was soggy and tasted fishy! The ribs were ok, very dry and old tasting! We sent back the 2 walleye dinners and after that the waitress was even less helpful! I would not eat here again because of the bad food and service! Please go somewhere else!

This was probably the worst dining experience of my life. We should have immediately left the building when it was literally deserted, we were the only ones there most of the time (except for the one person who came in for the bar). Lets start with our waitress, Joey, we couldn’t get her to leave us alone to choose a drink (once we actually convinced her to give us the drink menu). After that we couldn’t get her to come back to order the meal. Which was weird since we were the only ones in the whole place. But I know she was there cause i could hear her and the bartender laughing about something. Once we ordered (two Parmesean crusted walleye, and a rack of ribs) it made sense then why she laughed and told us she had no idea where to walleye came from (without offering to check). This walleye probably came from the bottom of an old bucket of fish. I put one bite in my mouth and could not even swallow. It was the most disgusting thing ive ever eaten. And the “crusted” walleye was soggy and greasy. I immediately sent it back without ordering something else, because at that point i was sick to my stomach. The ribs im told were dry and lackluster. The whole place had an an atmosphere of a 6th grade gymnasium dance right down to the Christmas lights lining the ceiling. Absolutely do not go here! You will regret it, and they should be ashamed to actually be serving people what they call food. Its not.

Half the menu is pricey, $30-60, and the other side is within $20. I had the Southwest Burger and felt it was decent, but needed a bit more flavor. The homemade Au Gratin potatoes were excellent as well as the walleye. Chicken was alright. The riverside view was a bit blocked by the trees, though what I could see, the view of the river was wonderful. There’s an eagle’s nest on the other side of the river which was nice to see.

Love this locally owned, long-standing restaurant and bar in Crosslake. The menu is diverse and they take pride in how their dishes are presented. We love to stop in, sit at the bar, have a bottle of wine, and one of the great appetizers.

Great food! Our server did such a great job, too. Pretty expensive, but great food and good experience. The brunch soup is phenomenal.
