We went on a Saturday evening @ 6pm to celebrate a birthday based on previous visits to the old Acropolis on Green River. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a “go ahead and seat yourselves” from across the empty dining room. There were only 3-4 patrons in the place (which, in hindsight, should have been a red flag), so we picked a booth near the window. No less than 20 minutes later, a server walked by and asked if anyone had been to see us yet. We said “no”, so he politely brought us menus and drinks. Another 20 minutes later, we were able to finally order chicken wings, greek salad and their “signature” Chicken Lemonati and a couple sides…only after being told they were out of oysters and scallops for other dishes on the menu. The food was mediocre at best. Fries, salad and wings were average. The mashed potatoes were instant and the signature dish had to be sent back…chicken was old and dried out and it was missing ingredients. 2 hours (!) and $50 later, we left feeling underwhelmed. Not recommended.

This review is of their catering. We chose them for our wedding day and rehearsal dinner. When they were trying to get our business we were treated really well and then once they got their deposit they were surprisingly hard to get in touch with. Per our contract we were supposed to meet with them 1 week prior to our wedding day to finalize everything and to pay. They kept pushing us off and we were promised to go over everything the night before at our rehearsal dinner and the owners were no where to be found.We kept reaching out to them prior to our event and kept getting the same response that they were busy. So on our wedding day we were then sent the invoice when we should’ve had all that taken care of before hand which I think is extremely tacky and unprofessional because we shouldn’t have had to worry about that on our big day. We had used them for our bar service as well and wanted our guests to enjoy unlimited beer and signature cocktails and after the fact more and more people have now told us that they were turned away at the bar and were told that we had ‘hit our cap’. We were paying for an open bar and the drinks were supposed to be unlimited. The quality of food and the servers were great but the owners really let us down. If you use them just don’t be afraid to stand your ground and make sure you get what was promised from them. Just wanted to warn anyone in the future to just make sure you stay on top of them. Upon talking to others now that previously their service this apparently not a new issue.
