This is clearly one of the favorite restaurants we’ve been to in Southeastern Oklahoma. My husband and I went there for the first time this past weekend and we were so surprised. We rarely give a restaurant a five, but our food was really good and the service was very good as well. My husband ordered the Center Cup Pork Chops and they looked so good. He said he would give them a solid 4 1/2 or 5. He described them as moist, well-cooked with a great taste. His side was Mac and cheese and he said it was a solid five. He said it was cheesy, creamy goodness! We both enjoyed our salads and were SO GLAD they didn’t taste like wilted salad that came out of a bag, but like a nice, fresh salad. Most of their dressings were homemade, including my husband’s Thousand Island and that was impressive. I would give my Ranch a four, but it was still really good. I got the red fish on saffron rice with cream crab sauce and I would give it a four (4.). I wasn’t particularly crazy about saffron rice (but I think that’s a personal preference) and I thought the cream crab sauce was pretty scarce, I actually asked for more. However, I brought about half of it home and after I put it in the refrigerator, the flavors seemed to come together more and it then tasted delicious. We were both impressed with the size of the mushrooms and we give them about a 4 1/2. They were definitely filling and tasted freshly cooked. We were most impressed with the size of the Strawberry Shortcake. Not only was it big enough for two people, but it really tasted good. We are not avid Strawberry Shortcake Lovers and we both really enjoyed this.

I used to be in this area once a month during my military times. Met the owner/manager he had served me the best steak they had and a really good beer. They had told me they got all their beef from local farmers. Service was great food was great! For a town with not much in it this is a good place to grab a steak!

I normally do not change the rating of my reviews. But the sincerity of the owner made me change my mind. While my steak may have been overcooked, it was still very high quality meat. For the owner to offer me another steak on her, free of charge, really displays the overall dedication that she must have toward making the roadhouse a great business and culture.

Visiting family down here and we came and ate here. We had stupendous service and our waiter Steven Love treated us so great. He made sure we had everything we needed. Food was fantastic!

Ordered calamari for an appetizer. It was a little burnt but still edible. I had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. A lot of bread, not a lot of meat but the taste was good. My husband got steak and shrimp, it was good. Quiet place, definitely has a high price atmosphere.

Awesome restaurant and food was fabulous!! Highly recommended Calamari, it was so tender best we’ve had and Coconut Shrimp with pina colada sauce was so delicious. Steaks tender and cooked to perfection. Portions are huge. And service was excellent. Best restaurant in Durant for fine dining. Brought special friends from out of town and we all were impressed.

I have to say, It would seem that up to a year ago this place was really really good. We dined there tonight and it did not meet our expectations in the slightest. We were seated at a table that was still wet. We had the waiter come and dry the table off. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer. It was served luke warm and very chewy. The dipping sauce was good. My wife ordered the chicken with mushroom sauce, baked potato and okra. The mushroom sauce was watered down and served in a small bowl. They grilled the chicken and was very chewy. Lastly her Okra was boring. I ordered steak tips on mashed potatoes with brussel sprouts. The steak seemed as though it was reheated and the mashed potatoes were definitely powder. The Brussel Sprouts were burnt and had a bad acidic taste. Once I tried the Sprouts I didn’t care to eat the entree any longer. The manager did come over and was concerned, she offered us a remedy immediately in which we accept the dish to be removed off the bill. She also gave us a $25 gift card in which I gave to another table walking out. Looking at many of the reviews, they seemed to have gotten many bad reviews over the last several months. Sadly they have changed something. The service was fine but could not over come the poorly prepared food and at the prices they are charging do equal the quality of dishes. I am very sorry but what ever you changed please go back to the quality you once provided for the community.
