Established in 1916, this multi generational local establishment has been part of the heartbeat and literal flavor of downtown Roanoke, VA. Known for their Weiners with mustard, onion and chili toppings, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to have just one. They also have S.C. BBQ sandwich, a new item flavored w mustard bbq, quickly becoming a favorite of the local gent I visited with. Their crinkle fries are a perfect addition to any meal you get here. This is THE perfect place when you want to satisfy a quick hunger bite when you’re on the verge of being hangry, lol.

Hot dogs didn’t taste good. Had a salty flavor. Sauerkraut was frozen and they threw some packets of ketchup on the side. Anyone that has been to a good hot dog place knows that’s just not it.

Just don’t. Hot dogs are poor quality & have zero girth. They charge 75 cents for relish. Mustard is watered down. Fountain drink is mostly ice. Ketchup packets are thrown on your tray. Employees don’t care.

Excellent place for a Roanoke tradition. The Roanoke Weiner stand has been around for ages. We stop by every time we are in town and never leave disappointed. Try a hot dog all the way (chili, onions, mustard) and you’ll never go back.

I have always loved this place , I been going since I was a tiny tot. We would come up from fla to visit his family and my grandad and nana would always stop and get plenty to come home with. I’m so glad to see it’s still in business.

Not as bustling as it was when I ate here as a kid, but a Roanoke landmark none the less. They have added a couple sandwiches to the menu but the dogs are why people go.

My wife has fond memories of eating here as a kid. It was to take her there again! At first glance there doesn’t seem to be anything special about this place. But the hotdogs are unique and good and I would recommend it to newcomers to give it a try.
