Rocco gave me E-VER-Y-THING that I needed! The service was absolutely fantastic, the food was incredible and we all enjoyed the intimate atmosphere! The squid was my favorite dish and it was cooked to perfection! We definitely found a new place to dine!!!

Rocco has wowed me twice now with their delicious food. I didn’t have a single thing I didn’t like. Small restaurant with an Italian bistro feel. The cocktails are great and I highly recommend the Paulie G pizza.

Love this unpretentious, authentic Italian restaurant. Our group of four had grilled calamari appetizer, arancini, tri-color salad, crispy fish with butternut caponata, mushroom pizza, spaghetti with shrimp, and quail with Gorgonzola polenta. Everything was delicious including the wine and cocktails. We had the to-die-for butterscotch pudding (with a birthday candle for my daughter) for dessert, a few divine bites each. If you get a dessert, get the pudding!

The place really looks Italian and very aesthetic. I love all the stuff we’ve ordered, particularly the pizza with a chop of veal on top. It was superb!

So popular there was a wait when we arrived. Highly recommend calling ahead first. Thankfully we were able to get in without a reservation. Worth the wait! Probably the best old school Italian restaurant in Rochester, NY. They have outdoor patio with a water feature! Lots of great choices on the menu, and unique specials. Try the fresh ricotta, never had something so creamy, umami and delicious before. Perfect dress up date night with an option for casual dining.

The absolute worst!!! $30 US for literally a bowl of soup! Lobster Zuppa …so salty, tomato based with tortellini … no bread… nothing… our server knew nothing about the menu or what came with the dishes. Waited 1 1/2 hours before any food was seen and when asked what the problem was we were told it’s a small kitchen and there was nothing they could do … smaller tables get served first… I don’t know a few bits of lobster and a can of tomatoes with some tortellini shouldn’t have been that long… never ever again!!

Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I felt bad for coming in at 8:40 on a Monday evening but they never once made me feel rushed or like they were closing down around me. This place is the perfect mix of a fine dining experience in an approachable, cozy setting. The vibe was 10 out of 10, great music and lighting. Service was impeccable by Jess! The food was amazing, portions were impressive. My only regret was coming here my last night in town so I didn’t get to try more things.

I am so sad. This was one of our favorite Italian places in Rochester. We haven’t been in a while, but decided to pay a visit since it’s been so long! I want to say I do not get off on leaving negative reviews, I actually refrain. But our experience just left a gut wrenching feeling that I felt the need to share for future goers. If you are going for some great glasses of wine and apps, this was great! The octopus was delicious! However, dinner was super underwhelming. We tried finding the silver lining, but after having the shrimp dish including 3 butterflied shrimp over a bag of frozen vegetables for $36, I felt the need for a psa. Our service had to be flagged down multiple times, and we even had to flag them down for multiple tables with less half capacity full in the restaurant. We used to love Rocco and would love to again, but sadly won’t be back for the full dining experience we once knew and loved.

Delicious restaurant with a very cute outdoor patio with a water feature! Lots of great choices on the menu, and unique specials. Highly recommend grabbing some fresh ricotta to add to your dishes (especially the pasta and meatballs). Highly recommend!

Was looking forward to having a great date night here. I started with a blood orange martini. It was overpowered by the flavor and amount of basil. The waitress advised me the bartender was new. The waitress asked if I wanted another but I didn’t want to chance it. We got the ricotta and charred bread as an appetizer. Most of the bread pieces were burnt hockey pucks. The waitress said the chef wouldn’t think so. The manager came over and did offer to get a new drink and cover the appetizer. She admitted it was burnt. I insisted it was okay because the ricotta cheese was delicious. I got the pork ribeye for an entree. It was extremely undercooked and it was sitting over a bed of warm lettuce. I had one bite and felt sick. The waitress knew and did apologize. She asked if I wanted to take it to go and obviously I declined taking home raw pork. She took the plate. Another waitress returned with the boxed entree and laughed as she set it down. The container had a smiley face written on it. They still charged $35 for the entree. My boyfriend said his pizza was pretty good. Overall I paid $80 (including tip) for ricotta cheese and pizza. I would have tossed it up to a bad day in the kitchen , and returned to try again. But if the manager is unwilling to make it right after a bad experience, I rather not support that kind of business. It’s a shame too because the other reviews looked so good.
