Before opening our family’s restaurant, our father worked for many years around the New England area as a head-chef. In doing this he began to hone not only many of the Italian food recipes that we use today but the ethics that continue to drive our business today. After years of working in established restaurants, and after settling our family, our parents opened the doors to Rocco’s Family Restaurant and Pizzeria in 1996, right here in Patterson, NY. As we approach our 25th year in business, not much has changed; we are still family owned, operated, and oriented. I’ve been there twice and the food and service are consistently good. It is a small old fashioned diner from the 50s with a casual atmosphere. Family owned , very friendly, like I said, we had been there twice and they remembered us! Restaurant was clean and the food was really good! I had lasagne , definitely homemade and I had a burger, next time I want a burger this is where I’m going to go! Give it a try !

We travel to Pawling regularly as our son goes to school there and one of our go to spots is Rocco’s. It’s quick, reasonably priced and generally the food has been great. My wife and I will usually get the stuffed pizza (because why not!) which is usually fantastic. However, the last time we were in, the stuffed pizza was not very good. Hardly any cheese inside and the hot peppers must have changed to large hunks rather than decent regular sized pieces. We also had pepperoni inside, but you never would have known it. My boys seem to like the Parm dish, the cheesesteaks and the pasta. After discovering other pizza joints in the area, not sure if I’ll order pizza from Rocco’s again.

We went late at night, a few days ago (end of December 2022). When we arrived they said they were closing/basically closed, but said we could choose from any of the pizza portions they had left over. We told them that we came because their hours on Apple Maps said they were still open(turns out their website showed their updated hours). They were nice enough to sell us the pizza after hours and let us sit down there to eat it, while they continued closing up. They threw in an extra slice of pizza as good measure, since we were clearly caught off guard by the incorrect restaurant hours on Apple Maps, and pretty tired and hungry. All in all, we had a great experience and they were really nice. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the best pizza in Patterson hands down. I was told about this place 20 years ago and took one look and said oh hell no! I have been consistently impressed with the cheese pie, lil crispy and thin like I like it! It’s worth the stop people!!!
