Rockfish Public House is a restaurant, bar and private event venue. Our focus is to feature premium seafood primarily from the Atlantic Coast and Gulf of Mexico that is wild caught, sustainably harvested and/or farmed in a manner which is good for the environment. We also feature a full service bar including twenty-four draft beers, most of which are products from local breweries. Upstairs RPH Live features a private event space complete with a full bar.

I feel like good restaurants can make “common” dishes feel special, and I think this place fits the bill. We had crab leg lollipops, mussels, seafood linguini, and a lobster roll. Dishes that can be found elsewhere, but they were very good and can go toe to toe against good big city seafood restaurants. And the service was really good as well. We sat outside with our dog. Despite being busy inside, our server managed to come outside multiple times to check on us and make sure everything was in order.

The Hot Lobster Roll was awesome. The buttery toasted roll was the perfect compliment to the lobster. Wait staff were friendly and stopped by often to see if I needed anything. If you are in York, I highly recommend that you check out Rockfish!

To start off, I do not say this lightly. This was the best crab cake we have ever had. The lobster roll was not the best I’ve ever had, but very good. The slaw that came with the lobster roll was excellent. Will not hesitate to come back. The only negative is the online reservation for holiday required a $10 per person non refundable deposit. This was a huge turn off and almost did not go because of it. The sad thing is this was one of the few places that had reservations open. When we got there so many tables were open and such a waste with a full staff that was not being used. Actually, very disrespectful to the staff that relies on tips when they did not fill the open tables due to the non refundable deposit. Bad business decision period. Hope they figure it out, the food is worth it.

We used Rockfish Public House for our wedding rehearsal dinner. We had a great experience! The food and drinks were excellent, the staff was great, and the booking process was really easy! The parking garage connected to the event space level was a huge bonus as well. We were able to use the tv to show a slideshow and we could hook up our own music as well. We had a great event and can’t wait to come back for dinner sometime!

Atmosphere at the bar was a little too dark during the day, but good vibes. Seafood nachos and oysters were excellent. The hot Lobster roll did not live up to the hype nor the price.. lobster and roll were great but dry, adding some sauce could upgrade the whole sandwich. Service and drinks were good, and I would come back.

We enjoyed this restaurant very much, the drinks are excellent as well. The over all bill was on the pricey side, however we knew this going into it. I loved the fresh oysters and the crab cake smash burger was to die for. Food and drinks we spent about 55-60 dollars each. But that included some cocktails. Try the pokebowl taco, this was an interesting fusion dish…. I enjoy items like this.

We had an online reservation for 4:00 which stated we’d have our table for 8 diners until 7:00. Shortly before 6:00 our server informed us that we had to leave because there was another reservation at 6:00 for our table. We had finished our dinners but were not offered coffee or dessert. The food was fabulous- crab cake was beyond comparison- but we felt we were given the bum’s rush out the door so they could turn over the table

Rockfish is one of the finest places I’ve dined. The atmosphere was upscale but comfortable. The cocktails and entrees were absolutely delightful. Not pictured was the coconut rice and it is an absolute must have when you visit. The best part about our evening was our server, Savannah. She gave us 160% effort in giving us an amazing evening while making us feel like we were her only table… when she was indeed very busy with other tables. Incredible is an understatement!
