You want good food or do you want food fast. Good food takes a minute and that is what Ricky Bay serves. Expect to wait for a table (get on the wait list) but you’ll not be disappointed. We ate here on our first visit to Friday Harbor in June and now again on our second visit. Good Lord willing we’ll be back.

After a rocky *ahem* start – me waving and no-one making eye contact because I wasn’t in their area – my server, Danny, made up for it by providing good service thereafter. I ordered the 2×2 eggs & bacon with toast. It was served after 15-20 minutes and the eggs were perfectly cooked, the potatoes crispy and the toast buttered.

I stopped by Friday for brunch while I was waiting for my sister’s ferry to get in. The food was great, service was friendly and loved the atmosphere. We ended up going back everyday for brunch the rest of the weekend. Yes, we had to wait awhile but it was worth the wait! We just put our names on the list and went to enjoy the market and some shopping in the meantime. Once seated, they were busy but the food and service was still wonderful. If you like Eggs Benny as much as I do this is your place! To those who have written the few negative reviews, you obviously have never worked in customer service or a restaurant before. Be patient, be kind and get over yourself. They work hard, their food quality and smiles under pressure shows it. Will definitely visit again next time I am in town!

Food was so very disappointing. I did order to-go, but that should have no bearing on the overall quality of the food…other than not being as warm as possible. This was my first time in this restaurant since owners changed. Food was absolutely amazing under the prior management. I ordered the crab benedict and my husband got an all meat omelet. No English muffin on the crab Benedict…just bland tasting crab patties that I can buy in any frozen section of a grocery store. Benedict sauce was barely present and the flavor was nothing to ever want to eat again. Potatoes okay. My husband’s omelet was worse than anything I’ve ever seen or tried. Eggs were cooked and then meat and cheese were added and the cooked eggs just flipped over the top…exactly like you would see in a taco. Was told his meal came with hasbrowns, but got chopped potatoes on that too. Very very sad for being $50. Will not go there again or ever recommend. I will say that their street tacos at night are absolutely delicious and never ever disappointing.

Our family stopped here for breakfast. They have a bunch of fun murals on the walls with sea creatures. It was very busy in the mornings so expect a little wait. My wife and I share a vegi omelet and it was enough for the two of us. The food seemed pretty average as omelets and potatoes go.

Their breakfast was the best meal I’ve had on the island. Staff are SUPER friendly. Great place and staff were all down to earth.

We had the Cali eggs benedict, French toast and a veggie omelet with a biscuit. Went back a second time on our trip because the food was so good. Highlights were the hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict, the house potatoes and the biscuit.

Tried this spot out for breakfast, after being greatly disappointed with other food options on the island. This place did not disappoint. We came back for breakfast the remainder of our stay. Server, Lilly, was so helpful, pleasant, and went out of her way to make you feel welcome and taken care of. Good breakfast options. Will definitely be back on our next trip. Worth checking out!

This place is not only the best place to eat breakfast/brunch, during weekdays it’s the only place to eat breakfast/brunch. It seems everywhere else either doesn’t serve breakfast or doesn’t serve breakfast except for weekends. So with that, expect a line out the door and down the block. Get there early and get your name on the list, they will call you when your table is ready so feel free to look at gift shops or grab a cup of coffee from a coffee stand. When seated we got our drinks right away, a few minutes to look at the menu and a reasonable time to get your food. While we were waiting for our food to come and even during our meal, the server came by to refill our coffee cups and bring more cream. The chicken fried steak was crispy and delicious, the sausage gravy was brownish rather than white/gray (like me mother used to make), but tasted great. The blueberry pancakes were light and fluffy (my wife says very blueberry and delicious). The drip coffee was fresh roasted by a local roaster and was rich and flavorful, they do have espresso, but we just wanted a cup of joe. The service was excellent and friendly for such a busy place and the server even came by twice to ask how our meal was (he forgot that he asked the first time, but that is all he forgot in the service department, not a bad thing at all). In all it was a great dining experience within walking distance of the wonderful Friday harbor marina.
