Decided to try this after having it saved for my visit to Asheville…. Got 3 whole wings meal with Mashed Potatoes and Fried Okra. My BF got the 2 drumsticks meal Medium w/ Sweet Potatoes and Collard Greens. Both of our sides were really good. He enjoys spicy food so he decided to try the medium after a staff member’s recommendation. He absolutely loved it through the tears from the heat.. Will definitely recommend this place to eat. Clean establishment and good food. (-1 star for the plain wings they needed a bit more seasoning)

Down here from Texas on vacation. We don’t have many hot chicken places in Texas so we thought I’d give it a try. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich (mild spice), my daughter ordered the tenders (no spice), my son ordered the tenders (medium spice) and i ordered tenders (Rockys hot). We all got mac and cheese and fries as sides & 4 drinks. Total was $72.00; pretty steep but the portion sizes are very big. All of us loved the Mac and cheese and the tenders were huge! None of us finished the whole meal. I’m 6’1″ 240 and could only eat two tenders, a few fries and about half the mac and cheese. For me the Rocky’s hit was perfect.. just enough to make your nose run. My son and daughter LOVED theirs as well. Seriously some of the best chicken I’ve eaten anywhere. If i went back we’d definitely share a tender meal. We had lots of left overs to take home. We need this in Texas! Highly recommended!

Rocky’s has been my go-to place for spicy chicken for years. All of the entrees are tasty and their sides are excellent, especially the macaroni and cheese balls and the fried okra. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and never gotten anything that I didn’t like.

We got here early, just before the lunch rush. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very comfortable, and the music they were playing was awesome- mostly punk/emo songs. Ordering was easy, the person taking our order made sure to inform us of spiciness levels. I got the 3 fried tenders plate, with the tenders having mild spice. For my two sides, I chose the mac & cheese as well as the mashed potatoes and gravy. The plate also came with two slices of white bread, not toasted, and a slice of a pickle. They also charge a little extra for sauce if you get tenders. The food was good, but I don’t think that it was worth $20 after taxes and tip… the chicken was delicious, but the sides were lacking in taste to me. I am glad to have tried this place, but I’m not sure if I would visit again due to the pricing and taste of what I would consider simple southern sides. The service was amazing, though!

We were in town and decided to try someplace we had not been before and the ratings looked good on Google we were not disappointed the food was great! Super fresh and hot when it came out the staff was super helpful. Chicken sandwiches, grilled chicken tenders, mac &cheese, fried okra, green beans and french fries were all worth the stop to eat here. If you are close by stop in when we left there was a line out the door waiting to order.

So good! From the chicken to the side items. I had a great meal at Rocky’s. I elected for the rotisserie, as I did not want to get crazy. I ordered it with greens and mac & cheese. Everything was spot on perfect. It might have actually been the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had. Sorry Publix. I know my southern side items and these are perfect. Definitely order the chicken tenders with the homemade ranch as it is definitely good as well.

If you like fried chicken that’s kicked up a notch or two with an eclectic atmosphere and banging sides, then Rocky’s is your place! They offer dine in our carry out and have both indoor and outdoor seating. They do play music, so if you’re looking for some place quiet, then this isn’t it.

So, driving into Asheville for a family vacation, we knew we would have to come to this Hot Chicken spot. It definitely helped that today was National Chicken Wing Day. You can’t go to a Hot Chicken place without taking on the signature recipe. We were warned that it would be HoT. Luckily me and the wife are no stranger to hot. (We did not go for the extreme hot tho) We got wings and tenders in Medium, Hot and Rockys Hot.

Great food. The chicken was well cooked and very flavorful. And the service was great. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. They have a nice selection of dipping sauces, I really liked their ranch. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.
