I was disappointed in this dining experience. The tortillas were a mixture of hard and undercooked, the meats were very under seasoned and topped off with too much sauce that tasted store bought. The staff were not very polite, and there is no where to sit in the establishment that someone isn’t walking by (very close) every other minute while you’re trying to eat.

This is a hidden gem in the city! I heard about this place when they first opened but haven’t had a chance to stop by until today. I am glad I did stop by! The tacos were so good, I tried 4 different tacos, the royal (crispy and sweet), Amy hates fish (spicy), uncle al (my favorite), and rude bull. I really like them all. The salsa is also great! I ordered ROCnachos to go so I could eat it at a later time. This won’t be my last time eating here.

Felt misled by the reviews. It’s a cool space but the food does not live up to the menu description. Steak was flavorless, dry, and the tortillas were cold. It tries too hard to be original and depends on the toppings for flavor.

The saddest taco I’ve ever seen. It was laughable. There were 3 tiny piece of meat. But I’m giving it 2 stars bc the flavor was good and the nachos were actually really good. But for a taco place, the taco should better than this..

This has been my 1st stop after landing at SLC for 3+ years. The ingredients are always super fresh, the folks that serve it up are rock’n awesome, and the food is always (always) epic!!

For selfish reasons, I’d love to say this place is awful and you should avoid it at all costs. But I can’t. This place is fantastic. Without a doubt the best tacos you can find in Salt Lake. Located in downtown Salt Lake, RocTaco is nestled in a cool building with great decorations and an industrial vibe inside. The staff is friendly and helpful (especially if it’s your first time there). They have loads of really great options for tacos. I ordered the Uncle Al (phenomenal), Bahn Mijo (equally phenomenal), and the Jimy Churri (phenomenal as well). I would say my favorite was the Uncle Al but they were all solid. Other options for tacos included a tikka misala infused taco. My wife ordered the deep fried avacado taco and she said it was her favorite. We ordered the Uncle Al nachos as well and they did not disappoint. Prices are average. It’s around $4 a taco and worth every penny. I ordered three and was stuffed for the rest of the day. If you want beer, they also have this as well. I really liked how they labeled every taco as well. We ordered a wide variety and this simple touch really helped us navigate the tacos easily. This was an amazing experience and I will be returning on a regular basis. Rock on, RocTaco!

I want everyone to eat here. It’s so tasty! And they have a new one called the billy goat. I hope it never gets taken away.

Tasty, inventive tacos. Tiny, shotgun-like interior, but our group of 4 was able to get a table.
