We recently had Rode’s Cater our Father’s 80th birthday party (60 people). FANTASTIC!!!. We already enjoyed Rodes Fireside. Very nice place. Fireplaces and tables make it feel very cozy and homelike. Not too loud when we were there, and was about half full. Varied menu and everyone found something they liked. I hope to go again when we are in the area next time.

I had a reservation for 7PM (father’s day) and we were running late. I called and they had no problem accommodating us. Our meals were delivered hot and were absolutely delicious. I had “angry lobster” which I asked to be made a bit more mild so kind of aggravated lobster, with mushrooms, tomatoes and a beautiful rose sauce. Dad had an awesome scallop and sweet corn risotto. It was perfect. 2 days ago I had called several places and couldn’t get in for Father’s Day. Next year, I know we will be back for Mother’s Day AND Father’s Day. Service was A+ professional too, I think our server’s name was Daisy.

Restaurant/tavern atmosphere. 2 fireplaces, bar, separate rooms, not too loud, but also a great place for kids. Crab cakes were delicious. Burgers were the best we’ve ever had. If you’re in the area, stop here for some great food.

I’ve driven by Rode’s Fireside countless times when I used to work in Swedesboro, but never stopped in. My wife and I finally did, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, from the wine bottle “water fountain” as you walk in, to the large spacious bar in the main room. Our server couldn’t have been more friendly, as she took the time to answer our questions and was on point with our drinks and food. The beef stir-fry and vegetables over rice was out of this world! I honestly don’t think there was one negative aspect about our visit to Rode’s Fireside. We will definitely be going back!
