I got mama g’s sampler. The chicken is dry and over cooked. It’s definitely old and has reheated toughness. The oxtails are literally fat and bones, with sprinkles of meat. The flavor is off for everything, especially the oxtails and jerk chicken. Don’t waste your time or money here, seriously!

Visiting Tampa for the weekend for a Air Force Reunion and a lady at Macy’s sent us to Rodney’s Jamaican. The food was hot, and the quantity was well worth the cost. The chicken breast was as big as a turkey breast almost. The BREAD PUDDING was a MUST HAVE! We’re heading back to Texas. Thank you!

I ordered the ackee and salt fish with white rice and callaloo and ox tails with rice and beans and callaloo. Portions are generous!

I came for a plate due to my coworker recommending for dinner. I haven’t had Jamaican food in a long time and she likes Caribbean food and said the food was good.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Rodney’s. Unfortunately I haven’t had any good experiences here. I’ve only been here to pick up food for 3rd party delivery apps, so I can’t speak on the food just to be fair… The last two times I was there , they were rude and got loud with me. I know running a mom and pop restaurant can’t be easy these days but treating people respectful would be a great start. I would love to try the oxtail but I can’t support that type of energy. Something is off at this place.

10 stars! The Chef Mango made the BEST oxtail and ribeye I had in my life. Love the style and vibe of the restaurant. Best part is the chef is actually from Jamaica and you can taste he puts his heart in the dish! Fresh and Hot every time!

Loved it. We had a few beers and wings which were really good with great service from the bartender. They had soccer on the TVs which was an added bonus for me. Great music. Great place all around.

I got curry chicken with cabbage and brown stew chicken. It was the best Caribbean food I’ve had in a restaurant… ever. The curry had just the right amount of heat. I could taste the different spices, but they were not overwhelming. They managed to create a very balanced flavor palate. The only thing that would have improved it, is if they served Johnny cakes. Tehehe

The food was amazing!! I had the sampler. I was worried that it was going to be very spicy, but it wasn’t that spicy at all. They give you a very generous portion of oxtail, jerk chicken, and pork with rice and beans and fried plantains. The beef patty and bread was good also. It was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon.
