Our group had the choice of food truck during a recent wedding welcome reception and the overwhelming favorite was Rokko Izakaya. The food was excellent with extremely friendly service. While others may have had varied experiences, we found the wait to be minimal for a moderate size group and well worth it.

I ordered katsudon! It was sitting in like 3 inches of soy sauce juice, and the steamed rice was wayyy too soggy. Egg cooked badly. If Gordon Ramsey came here he would be FURIOUS!!!!

Rokko is new to town, but you sure wouldn’t know it! The menu offers a wide variety of Japanese inspired cuisine. Our table ordered a wonderfully a unique brussels sprout appetizer, salmon bowl, steak bowl, and noodle dish. Each dish felt healthy, flavorful, and intentional. They were extra kind to pay attention to my food allergy.

Really liked their yakisoba until today. I took one bite and realized that they decided to start putting seaweed on chicken yakisoba? It was gross and the seaweed tasted like fish food smells. Very disappointing. Waste of time and money.

Everything here is amazing. The salmon is my favorite and I had to force myself to try something else (in spite of my addiction to the salmon dish) and I’ve continued to try new dishes every time and it has been amazing. Good quality food is ALWAYS worth the wait.
