I showed up with an appetite and excited to dive in to some local barbecue. I struggled to find flavor in my half chicken plate. The rice was bland and the beans tasted like lentils. The chicken was dry and the barbecue sauce was way to sweet. If what I described sounds like something you want to dive into don’t let me stop you. I try to provide an accurate description of my experience and the above is what I experienced. I was so looking forward to an alternative bbq place and this place fell way short of my expectations.

Delicious juicy brisket smoked with post oak instead of being overpowered by mesquite like most BBQ in the valley. “Texas Twinkie” poppers are huge and awesome.

Smelled it going down the road looked up reviews, stopped in for a couple of plates to go. Smell drove me crazy on long way home to SPI. Brisket extremely moist and melted in your mouth. Sausage was outstanding. Potato salad was excellent. Beans not a fan of will skip next time. The sauce on the side was fantastic. My spouse who normally does not like BBQ also loved it. Needless to say will be back for more. Price was reasonable for the quality. They will need a bigger location. Reminds me of Brett’s in Katy or Lulling but closer

These are really nice people. Happy to help with food for our party. Brisket was awesome and so was the Chicken. Great way to have BBQ for a party and not have to spend all day cooking Highly Recommend them.
