Nice Little place to grab some seafood and meats. They carry wild game meats and seafood. They also have a little section of international types of foods that you can’t find at your local grocery store. They offer perogies in many different flavors. If you’re hungry, they offer foods you can order either to go or sit and eat inside. They do not have a restroom! Items and the food they are a bit expensive but then, they carry wild game and seafood. I found the place a bit cramped. If they were busy, it would be hard to maneuver a stroller or wheelchair in there.

Wide selection. Friendly service. Watch the expiration dates but many of the exotic meats do not have an expiration date. Kielbasa was decent, but the frozen wild boar and venison were both very gristly and unedible. We purchased a variety of other meats in there as we were excited about the variety but the quality is not there. Won’t be back.

Really poor quality control. You call and ask for something specific, they tell you they have fresh stock but it’s a lie. They’ll literally unfreeze stuff as your on the way in. Expired jarred goods on shelves, owner will tell you it’s fine when you point it out . DO NOT COME HERE. If you happen to be a local, you know this isn’t his only shady business practice. He abuses the community and is an absolute menace.

Huge selection of quality meats. Sells the best hams hands down for the holidays. If you’re looking for the perfect meats to throw on your BBQ grill for the summer, you’ll find what you’re looking for here.

Kielbasa and honey are good. The other food be careful, check expiration date. We bought mushrooms in a jar and when we got home I noticed that expiration date was 10/2021. Also we bought fresh oysters $22 for a dozen. When we got home and opened them, they all smell really bad. They went to a garbage together with a jar of mushrooms. Just check carefully what you are buying in that store.

Selection is absolutely huge, quality of food and meats is great. Can tell the homemade meats are authentic, old world recipes. Would have been 5 stars if prices would have been a little more reasonable. Understandable that you’ll pay more for imported foods, real kielbasa’s, wursts, etc. but prices were still pretty steep. (Chalk it up to the pandemic or inflation maybe?) Owner is a nice gentleman that obviously takes pride in the business.

When visiting Lake Ariel, Pa we always look forward to lunch at Roman’s Famous Meats. The owner will make any kind of sandwich you want to eat in or take out. The pulled pork with warm barbecue sauce is my favorite! In the summer his father cooks outside in front of the store under a big white canopy. Fun place to shop!

My son, auntie and I went inside assuming we will be entering a steak/seafood restaurant to be very pleasantly shocked and amazed of what this place has to offer.

This place is wonderful! Great people and a wide variety of Polish food – GO and try ALL the different types of pierogis. Find the blueberry pierogi you won’t regret it! They even have my favorite spicy brown mustard – Kosciusko. Go there for some unique items! Highly recommend.

I was staying in honesdale and had looked online at the various businesses. I was exited to discover Roman’s especially the diversity of smoked fish they had. I was a bit surprised that everything was frozen. The woman behind the counter seemed a bit odd when I was asking about it. But despite my reservations I bought a smoked Mackerel from Canada. Anyway, I ate some of it with bagels from Camp Umppy’s down the street (great bagels and really nice people there!). I woke up with cramps and diarrhea and was sick all night long. The symptoms were consistent with histamine fish poisoning indicating that the fish hadn’t been properly stored. This seriously is dangerous. I was considering going back there and gently pointing it out to them without any accusations or threats but just so maybe they’d toss out their stock and take better care in the future but I read some of the bad reviews on here and thought perhaps that wouldn’t do any good and there could really be a bad situation. I was thinking I was going to pick up a ring of kielbasa on my way out of town but I think I’ll hit Oprisko in Carbondale instead
