I came here on a whim. In the mood for sushi and it’s up the street from my house, gave it a shot. It’s a small little place, nice atmosphere but felt cluttered, tight aisles, weird counter placement and take out line made it feel cramped.

The food was even tasty, but everything tasted the same. Unfortunately, I am lowering the rating for the lack of tea (e.g. green, jasmine, etc.). I know it’s Asian fusion cuisine, but not everyone likes to drink a gallon of Coca-Cola 🙂

Spectacular. Just spectacular! This place has made it for over a decade in uptown Charlotte, which has been a revolving door for restaurants. It’s quaint, and no frills, except for the food and service. They just grind here.

Modern asian decor with a speakeasy style atmosphere. Grandeur entrance past Chase bank building brass elevators and elaborate brass gated doorways. Freshest nigiri served with extra plate, chopsticks and normal silverware. Service was extraordinary and recommendations from our server were on point. Tuna poke bowl had a life changing citrus wasabi yuzu dressing. Fresh everything with top notch presentation each course. Nigiri Tobiko and Crab were a delicious starter. We will definitely be back!!!

The restaurant itself is small, don’t seem to fit more than 50 people so reservation is advised. The food was tasty, they have a wide sushi selection and a couple dishes like pad Thai and fried rice. The drinks were served in a pint so you really just need 1 drink. Service itself was not too fast or slow and the server checked on us periodically, nothing too intruding or neglecting. Overall pleasant experience.
