We believe when you order and sandwich, you should get a sandwich with plenty of meat.. not a salad! Our sandwiches are piled high, so you won’t leave our place hungry! We also believe in serving fresh, health-conscious ingredients. Our salads are made with fresh greens and all of our soups and chicken salads are made in-house. Great place for a good meal. The staff was very friendly and courteous, the food was fresh and came out really fast. The Nutella banana French toast was amazing. The Rooster was also exceptional. Definitely recommend and will return!

Ordered a BLT online and it was ready super quick. The staff was also really nice and a manager was walking around seeing how everyone was. The only negative is that they use super SMALL bread for the sandwiches. There’s a ton of meat but because the bread is so abnormally tiny everything is hanging off. Still extremely good though I’ll be ordering it again!

The place is dirty just from looking around tables are not wiped, finger prints on cooler, coke machine is missing a part on the front, the ceiling leaking and a bucket was on the benching seating. The bathroom was out of soap and paper towels. I ordered Potato soup and it looks dry and looked 3 days old.

Food is very good however NOT gluten friendly. If you have an allergy or celiac do not go here. I ordered grilled shrimp tacos assuming the tortillas would be corn (everywhere I go that serves tacos is corn tortillas so I didn’t think to ask) , got home and they were flour. I wish the menu would’ve specified. The fries were very good however witnessed cross-contamination in the kitchen. My husband got the potato salad and fried shrimp po boy and loved it. Overall great place if you have no allergies!

This could easily be one of my favorite restaurants in Lufkin. The service is amazing and the food great. Also, if you decide to bring your family, Roost offers one free child’s meal per adult meal purchased after 4 PM.

I fell in love with this place instantly! I have a sensitivity to certain foods and they have what I’m looking for. I live in the city and a lot (I mean a lot) of resturant don’t even have much like this place does. I was able to eat a sandwich and enjoy it!

The Roost is the best! My mom and I are absolutely addicted. I love everything I’ve tried here, my favorite is the Thai peanut chicken salad and mom loves the gumbo. The atmosphere is busy but they’ve got it all under control and will take great care of you. From the big guy behind the line with the soft, calm, assuring voice and the kind eyes, to Emily who directs all the traffic and calls the shots (Emily and I are in the beginning of a lifelong friendship she just doesn’t know it yet). We love the Roost and will keep haunting this spot until we quit getting hungry.

First time here and I had the half order grape chicken salad on toast with a side of yogurt with grapes. It was wonderful. My friend had the half order turkey avocado and bag of chips. Both were a really surprisingly a big and delicious. Want to go back and try the turkey avocado. Fyi…its a quaint place and fill up fast
