I had high expectations for the classic thigh meat with ginger scallion sauce. Chicken was juicy and well seasoned, rice was good, pickled veggies was tasty as well. The ginger scallion sauce was quite disappointing though. Was expecting a much higher umami flavor and was instead met with a very dull ginger flavor. Sauce didn’t seem freshly made and seemed like it came out of a jar.

Probably the worst khao mun gai I’ve had. The rice was bland and tasted like steamed rice instead of proper chicken rice. There was not enough kmg sauce. The soup tasted like a jar of Campbells soup.
