On May 13, I went to the Roosters in Charlotte with my family and had a wonderful experience. Because of that experience we decided to try out the Roosters in Winston Salem where we are from. We made a reservation for today to celebrate Father’s Day. We arrived early and sat down at the table at 5:00pm. We ordered two appetizers the calamari and the shishito peppers along with our entrees. We received the appetizers at 5:20 pm. At 6:00, we had not received our entrees yet. My mother in law who is diabetic , had to pull a bottle of glucerna from her purse to drink to maintain a stable blood glucose level. At 6:15 we finally received the entrees, but only 6 out of the 7 people at the table received entrees. The waitress Jaden stated the other plate would be out soon. At that point , my dad and I spoke to Chandler a manger about the slow service. The manager offered a verbal apology, stated he would check on the food and that was it . At 6:27 we asked the waitress Jaden for to go boxes , and the waitress asked my mom who was the only one still without an entree if she wanted her food at the table or placed in a to go box? We came to eat dinner as a family at 5:00 it is now 6:27 and you are asking if she wants her entree in a Togo box. Finally, at 6:30 the manger Chandler brought my mothers food to the table on a plate while everyone else was packing their food to go . The manager again only offered a verbal apology. During the hour that we waited from the time we got appetizers to entrees, the waitress didn’t check on us ,she didn’t give us any updates on when the food arrived , she did refill our drinks once. When the entrees came we had to take two sets of silverware from another table to eat after asking our waitress for silverware and not receiving it . The manager didn’t offer to take an appetizer or a drink or anything off of the bill to compensate for the long wait time or service . We ordered chicken wings . It shouldn’t take 1 hr and 15 min to get chicken wings for my mom . If you want great service and great food, go to the Roosters in Charlotte .

We will be returning here on our next trip! We ordered different plates to try and ohhhh the food was fantastic! Lamb burger was incredible. Soup, Mac & cheese, calamari were sooo good.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The food was incredible, and our waiter, Charles, made the experience exceptional. We went for my mother’s birthday, and they made it so special. As an appetizer, we had a pizza. It was incredible. I had the salmon, and the other dishes my family got were the elk medallion, the ribeye, the crab cake, and shrimp and grits. No one had a bad meal. We also got the skillet corn and sweet potato puree as sides. We finished it off with raspberry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate pie. I can’t wait to go back.

Good place with good food. It’s a fusion of Southern and French cuisine, which is a combination I dig. My only complaint is that the food is very salty, like excessively so, and I say this as an American who likes salty food. The fries, the fried okra, the burger, the steak – all really salty. My mouth feels like someone is trying to preserve it.

Ok if you follow me you know I have a thing for shrimp and grits. Definitely in my top 5 so rich and creamy and saucy for $35 it’s worth it . The 7.5% Jai Alai IA BY Cigar City was amazing. I have to find some for the crib.

First time dining at roosters in Winston Salem very great dining experience. Our server was awesome. I had the seared flounder over a risotto, my boyfriend had the fillet mignon. Both were absolutely delicious. We started out with the tuna, which was very great. Definitely would go back here for a nice date night.

We went here for our end of the year department lunch. I started with the tomato bisque soup. This was delicious and just the right amount of spicy (not bland tomato soup but not too spicy that it was hot).

Great atmosphere and staff. Drinks were nice and they had a variety of wine options. I had a great time. I ordered the pork chop however and it was tough, and fatty. I sent it back. But Desert was great and it’s a beautiful setting which is what we were looking for. The shrimp and grits were very good. The sides were not seasoned well…that was very shocking. Had my pork chop been amazing I would have given 5 stars.

I had the arugula salad with figs and it was simply delicious. It was extremely fresh. And before I began to indulge; it was beautifully prepared. We ate outside and it was absolutely pleasant and relaxing. The ambiance was amazing. Our server was Tyler and he was awesome. He gave great suggestions, he was very personable and quite attentive.
