Had dinner with a friend that lives in town. She recommended Roosters. So glad she did! I couldn’t decide between pizza, or a burger, so I got a……..pizza Burger!! Absolutely phenomenal. They use fresh beef. I tasted it immediately. Something I haven’t tasted since rural west Texas. The top bun is turned into a pepperoni pizza! The combination is killer. The calzone is also really good. Gonna try another burger next time.

Beverly was an awesome bartender and made us feel like one of the locals. All her suggestions were excellent- especially the tater kegs! The burgers were so giant and delicious. I appreciate that they made quite a few things in-house. I got the coleslaw with my Hawaiian burger and it was probably the messiest burger I’ve had but super yummy. My husband loved the house made French fries with his Western burger. The only thing we noticed was that I ordered medium well and he ordered medium. They came out looking the same temp, but we still loved them! No complaints here. Excellent food and hospitality.

not a bad little place. i went in the bar part. it had 2 pool tables, but it seemed like only one work, but the food was good only had one bar tender it was kinda pack due to it being a smaller bar but still enjoyed little pool and good food the pizza burgers was the bomb will be going back even tho it’s a 45 min drive just there can’t wait till they open the fountain location

Went to the county fair and on way home decided to stop here and eat. Never been there before. Nothing fancy inside but sometimes these places are the best to eat at. The only thing I didnt like is having to look up the menu on my phone. I like old fashioned menus. There was a good selection of food. The portions were very big, which is good since it is alittle pricey. With 3 people it cost us about 58 dollars with tip. That also was with no appetizers and only one soda bought. But I would recommend it and go back again if I am ever in the area.

I had the Brisket Sandwich! YUMMY It pretty much melted in my mouth! I am craving that sandwich right now! It was my birthday, the server brought me a piece of cheesecake!! Everything was so Delicious! The service was great! The price was good too! Definitely going back!

Order was wrong, food isn’t good, and the service is terrible. Update- I just spoke with the owner and he is really trying to make things right with us. He is also trying to fix the problems in his restaurant. This is a tough business and I understand. My wife and I have both worked in the service industry for a long time. I hope that the problems can be resolved.

We drive out to Calhan to see the Painted Mines that are nearby. We were hungry, but realized there really wasn’t much in town for a lunch stop. We looked at Rooster’s as we drove by, and initially thought ‘nope!’. But being hungry, we decided to give it a try. We were really surprised at how good the food was! The chef salad was excellent, as was the hamburger and fries. Very well prepared, quick service and extremely reasonable prices. Don’t let the looks of this place deceive you, it’s definitely worth stopping in for a meal!

Cute little place with GREAT pizza! We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Pizza, added jalapenos. I’m typically a thin crispy crust gal but their crust made me rethink myself. It is crispy and airy…delish! Sasha was our server and was also bartending. She handles her business just fine. We’ll be back!
