Always have to come here when I’m in Calexico. Probably one of the best restaurants in the city and their portions are huge. Got the carnitas combo, which comes with fall-off-the-bone pork spare ribs with beans and rice on the side in addition to your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Really impressed with the flavor that comes out of the pork when eaten with the avocado, peppers, and salsa. Also ordered a Carne asada taco. The meat was definitely quality but it didn’t impress me that much.

The decor is *so* charming and the music is a great mix! Bottled Drinks and Beer. Service was special! No hablamos mucho español, she made sure to take care of us! The homemade flour tortillas were phenomenal! Perfect spot for tourists craving some authentic food! The beans and rice were the BEST I’ve ever had! Beautiful flavors in the cheese. We even have leftovers!

Definitely not expensive at all also the food tastes amazing the portions was huge, overflowing the plate also the customer service was amazing the drinks was refreshing. I definitely will be back to try the menudo which I’ve seen other people order while I was here. This place also delivers, but it’s better to eat it there and try the full experience like I did and you won’t be disappointed. Very clean place to eat alone or with friends and family

We were a party of three that sat with a group of people who were already eating who we ran into and had fun conversation. This was in March so I’ve had plenty of time to really reflect on this place. The staff was really attentive to us and took great care of us. I had the enchiladas rojas and they were to die for. I’ve heard about this place for years but I always managed to be in Calexico on days they were closed. I’ve gotta say I will be back

I’ve been a customer for a long time and have never been disappointed with the quality and taste of the food here. The shrimp ceviche is the best I ever had, and it’s the only place I willingly eat shrimp as for the steak. What can I say always cooked to perfection so I strongly recommend you give this Calexico tradition a try.

We had carne asada burritos, food overall was ok. Their agua fresca super sweet, not refreshing at all. Everything is so outdated and everything was dirty (floor, bathroom, windows). We stayed because we were hungry but I would not recommend this place. The owner is overseeing if the costumer is being charged correctly and will add “customized charge $4.99” for items she thinks they have to add without notice.
