Cozy new wine bar/restaurant behind Sqwires in Lafayette Square. Nice ambiance ,staff, and yummy food. The escargot, veal meatballs, fusilli, turnovers and dessert are delish. Recommend!

We ordered the El Duce which had the veal and mortadella meatball. Still trying to wrap my head around how that combo is executed, …but what really matters is that it’s a Slam Dunk. Sicilian Sweet and Sour was a perfect break from the richness. If I return to St. Louis, I will make sure to try dining in and ordering some pasta as well! Spinach and cheese puff was good. Escargot was terrible, and I’ve had a lot over the years. (Escargot and bone marrow do not belong together.) Scallops were perfect, though. The level of noise in the restaurant was deafening. We simply couldn’t hear our server when he spoke. It became comical at one point. Peno is fabulous…Rose is irritating.

This place is amazing! The food is prepared perfectly, the presentation is phenomenal and the staff are all friendly and know what they’re doing. We got the Pizza Pagliaci, and it was amazing and very unique. The eggplant and goat cheese are great, of course, but it also has potato on it, which I have never had on pizza, but I am now a huge fan of. The crust has the right balance of crunch and pull. The cocktails are also amazing and expertly executed. The ambiance is fun and relaxed. This place is a “must go” if you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and an overall great experience.

A peculiar restaurant which seems to want to be a wine bar by the looks of the menu, lack of beers, and abundance of wines and flights. I don’t want to wreck their score because they’re new, maybe struggling a little, so I gave them an extra star. However, my wife and I will not be coming back.

Great experience at this place and will definitely be back! Perfect atmosphere for a date or nice meal with friends or family. Great artwork and decor. Lots of classic items like oysters, mussels, escargot, octopus, meatballs, and delicious pizza as well. Tasteful wine and cocktail list. Did not try dessert but desserts looked amazing.
