My new favorite restaurant! I decided to stop by while out and about over the weekend. You can tell there is a lot of history with this restaurant. They have been around for some time. I had been craving tacos which were delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh. The chips and salsa were also really good. The service was fabulous. Everyone was nice and friendly. It wasn’t busy which was shocking since they are so good and you can’t beat the cost. I look forward to visiting Rosie’s again very soon.

I first dined here in the 70s, and last visit was a few years ago. Food is consistent, and certainly acceptable when crowded at other area restaurants. It’s fast, with great service. Sad to see these old mom & pop establishments barely hanging on due to chains.

Great local restaurant to grab Mexican food. You can either eat in or call ahead for take out. The prices are decent for the area. The portions are typical American size (large). Each table is served with tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa is medium spicy for those who may not enjoy spicy salsa. The staff were very friendly and helpful with dietary restrictions. Several gluten free and vegetarian options were available. Washrooms weren’t that clean or modern.

The best overall restaurant in Austin area for any type of food! Fantastic family owned and run business. So nostalgic it’s like stepping back into the 70’s-80’s

If there was a restaurant that needs to be in Texas Monthly or on the news this is the place. The best migas you will anywhere and the suicide breakfast tacos are legendary. One of the last authentic places that still survive in Austin for now.

Had double beef fajitas that my little sister and I shared still had some leftover but it was very good and the service was awesome with just one server who took care of the small crowd.

I had high hopes for this place. With a name like Rosie’s Tamale House you would expect some bangin tamales. The food was under seasoned and a little boring. I had to put salt on my tamale for any kind of flavor. My boyfriend ordered a plate that came with store bought tamales /:
