This restaurant has been a staple for decades in South Burlington. I went with the 12oz Prime Rib (I don’t believe it was only 12oz) with Corn on the cob and rice pilaf. The Prime Rib and corn were to die for. The rice pilaf was terrible. I highly recommend. The prices, food and service were excellent

Photos on their website are NOT up to date, the parking lot looks very disheveled. The atmosphere is dark, out dated, dirty and disappointing. The last time we ate there was about five years ago, pre COVID….I did not recognize it, the building needs a lot of TLC. Chipped paint on walls throughout, dirty menus, dirty work station for patrons to view while being seated. The food was ok, nothing to brag about…the only saving grace was our waiter who was friendly and attentive. The owner, if not living in the area, should make a point of visiting….once a stellar restaurant is now in need of a major overhaul…inside and out.

Perfect tenders. Difficult to find portions this large anymore. The burgers looked good, will have one next time.

We just tried this place last night, and I have to say, it was a great dining experience. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, and that level of hospitality continued throughout the evening.

Good food but extremely slow service. They probably need to hire more staff. Same guy was made to race across both the bar and kitchen to meet customers’ needs.

Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive. My Cajun style steak tips were abundant, very good and well prepared, although the accompanying asparagus was over-grilled and a bit stringy. The onion rings were okay. My son wasn’t impressed with the escargot and it’s presentation was rather unappetizing. The sliders were pretty good, but they got my grandson”s order wrong. The entrees other than the two steak dishes were unremarkable. The dining area is cramped and there wasn’t ever enough room on the table even though the server was clearing the dishes very efficiently.

I don’t know what happened but the prime rib was just loaded with grizzle and silver skin. I had an awful time trying to cut it and I bent my fork several times trying to hold it just to cut the silver skin and grizzle out. The wait to get service was long and we almost left and wished I had after. I ordered escargot and it wasn’t cooked long enough and came with no bread but I did have a dinner roll they brought out when we first gave our order so I ate that. I also ordered beets and mashed potato with gravy. No gravy and I had to ask for it and some of the beets had the skin peeling off and really didn’t look appetizing. I didn’t complain like me wife wanted me to and I just brought the leftovers home and fed the prime rib to the dogs. I’ve had good meals the two other times we’ve been there this year and my wife got a good meal but my prime rib was awful and it even looked like it was a really poor cut of meat. I’m not sure if we’ll ever be back.

The employees here were nice, but the food was pretty subpar. There are a lot of creative dishes on the menu, but everything my table got was very under seasoned, and was generally underwhelming, especially considering the pricing.
