We are in town for the grand american trap shoot for 10 days every year. Stopped here everyday for breakfast and several days for lunch. Route 4 has everything you want out of a restaurant. As you pull up the parking lot is clean and orderly. Lobby windows are clean. Dining area never has a dirty table. Bathrooms are always clean. Prompt service and super friendly staff. Every staff member gives a genuine smile as they make eye contact with you. Food is great and prices are lower than you would expect. While dining you can observe many local folks coming and going and the staff knows many of them by name. Finally when you leave they thank you for coming and you sense they really appreciate your business. See you next year!

Great diner food at a reasonable price. Very friendly, hard working staff. I will definitely stop in again next time through. My country fried steak dinner was $10.01 after taxes. Great prices across the board, as you can see in the pictures.

5 star workers hustling full speed ahead even when during the slower periods. The busiest crew and the cleanest store I’ve been inside of in quite some time. With a sense of urgency they took, prepared, served, and cleaned up after us as we enjoyed fresh tasting taco salads and milkshakes so good I would have sworn they where from my favorite dairy queen, also in Sparta, IL. Full menu available anytime in a family friendly environment, at a fair price, from a crew that puts the whole experience together for you. So fantastic we’re certain to return.

First time here and will definitely be back. I had the four picked dark chicken meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and it was excellent and affordable. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean and organized. The menu had tons of options.

Girl at window didn’t tell me to pull forward. I’m not from here but wanted to try so naturally I did not know I needed to pull forward.Ham egg and cheese sandwich was something I could have made at home. Very bland no flavor at all and too expensive. All I can say is I tried and won’t try again
