Our visit provided a mixed experience for our group. The atmosphere felt a little dated, but that didn’t affect our enjoyment too much. Unfortunately, the fountain drink machine was broken, which was a bit inconvenient.

My son and I have been here for the past two weeks in Williamsburg, we’ve been trying restaurants all over and tonight is our last meal here in. We decided to order food from this establishment and I am so happy that we did. We got the cheese curds as an appetizer then for our meals, we got the chicken dinner with the fries and macaroni and cheese. I wanna start with this dinner first; the fries or so well seasoned I don’t know how else to say that, but they were nothing like I’ve ever had before, the chicken was not for me, but my son thought it was delicious, I’m a self I’m not a BBQ person so I can’t write that but the mac & cheese phenomenal. It’s white cheddar mac & cheese, and it is absolutely delicious. We also got the pulled pork Carnitas with the mac & cheese. When I tell you, this food was amazing you better run.

The food was good. The portions were not worth the cost of the entrees. We ate before I grabbed a photo of our food. The Mac & cheese came in a salad dressing size plastic container as a side with the sandwich for $15.50. The drink machine was broken. They were out of lids for the 1 lb brisket containers so they gave us an entire different box to replate it. There was sauce on the brisket but they didn’t advertise it added on top. We did enjoy the cheese curds but for $8 we got 13. $80 for 4 people seems like a lot.

Had takeout today: ribs, wings, burnt ends, and beef brisket. Plus 2 quarts of potato salad, you can’t have enough of their potato salad. All the meat was tender and lots of flavor.

This is an excellent BBQ joint. The inside is cozy and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. You order at a counter in the front, then go choose a table, where your food will be delivered. The portions of food were generous. The brisket and pulled pork were perfectly cooked, and the pulled chicken hit the spot. The sides were nothing to scoff at either, the mac and cheese was deliciously creamy, and the cole slaw was the best. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone passing through, for lunch or for dinner.

Route 60’s take on Texas style bbq is o.k. and not too bad. I am a Texas boy, born and raised. I completely understand I will never get the flavor profile I grew up with, but I have been to a few places that come pretty close… this place does not. The smoked brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken and sausage were pretty tasty though. The smoke profile is VERY light you almost can not taste it. Bark on the brisket is almost non-existent as well. I was very surprised the brisket came with a light layer of bbq sauce on it as Texas style brisket will NEVER come covered in sauce. The beans were standard boiled pinto beans with very little seasoning or flavor. I had very high hopes for this bbq joint as the menu leads you to believe this would be Texas style bbq and it sadly was not. With that said, the bbq was not horrible, but it was not at the level I was expecting either. If you ever had Texas bbq before, this is NOT the restaurant for you. If you like local type bbq, then you may enjoy this restaurant.

My recent dining experience was horrible. For starters, I was handed a cup with ants in it. However, I think the ants came from the drink fountain. The catfish was horrible. I was fried perfect but tasted fishy and was slimy on parts. The canned greens were not my favorite. The cornbread was horrible—dry. I enjoyed the waffle fries. I wasted $30. A two piece catfish dinner is overpriced. Never again.
