My partner and I thoroughly loved this place. We were looking for mocktails and gluten free food, and this was definitely the place to go. The owner has celiac, so the majority of the menu can be made gluten free or is already. They have a dedicated gf fryer as well, so I could have things like chicken tenders and fried pickles without worrying about cross contamination. We sat outside, which was gorgeous and the patio is nice, cute and clean. We had a great time and the server (her son) was very nice, personable, and friendly. Beautiful little place and we can’t wait to head back! Pictured: fried gf pickles, non-alcoholic drinks, gf tenders and regular jambalaya!

Very good Cajun food. We got the “chargrilled” oysters for an appetizer but those were neither charred nor grilled so stay away from those. My gf got the seafood gumbo and I got the Cajun sampler with chicken and sausage gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice and crawfish etouffee. All of these were very exceptional but the crawfish etouffee was the clear winner. Would definitely go back again for that. Jambalaya was number two. Both gumbos placed at number 3 for me. Red beans I could take or leave. Next time I go, I feel like I’d get the appetizer sampler and the crawfish etouffee as an entree.

Ordered takeout. The flavor was almost there. I’d give it a 6/10. I was incredibly baffled by the price I paid for this jambalaya and the portion I received. It’s so shockingly small, very dry chicken and rice in it, and the sausage was burnt. Beignets weren’t authentic, more just like fried dough but they were also overcooked. We got chicken tenders and they were very dry. The only thing we liked was the cornbread. I feel like everything we got was just barely a miss mostly because it was all so dry and overcooked. I don’t know if eating in would’ve offered a better experience but I wouldn’t order takeout again.

Fabulous! We went today for a late lunch. Fried pickles, alligator bites and Cajun sampler. Great cocktails, delicious food, all around positive experience. Staff was super friendly. Almost felt like we were old friends. 10/10 would recommend. Don’t forget to save room for beignets!!

First time trying out this place and it was great. Food was delicious and they have halal certified chicken as confirmed by the owners. The staff was very friendly. Family and I had a great time and will definitely be returning back for more.

Roux totally gets Cajun – I LOVE New Orleans and this place is better than half the places in the City. The Shrimp & Grits at Roux is epic. They have live music constantly and the Owners care. If you don’t have a GREAT experience, let them know an they will make it right…5 stars every day…

Went for lunch , not again and I can’t believe I paid for it! Really ? Ordered a salad for lunch with shrimp. The salad was $15.00 the salad came in a side salad size.really? $15.00, ya it had 4 average size shrimp, no Cajun seasoning I could taste. Tasted my sister’s chicken tenders, they were not cooked , sent back , again not Cajun flavor. Wait staff gave us an empty catsup bottle…think someone might need to go back to LA and revisit the flavors.

Delicious food. I’m not an expert on cajun cuisine so I can’t tell whether it’s super authentic or not, but it tasted great! Loved the French soup, shrimp and grits, jambalaya and corn and shrimp soup. My partner loved the gumbos. Cocktails are very good too. Hosts are so friendly and they made us feel pampered and at home, had great conversation with them and gave us good tips for our travel. One of the highlights of our holiday!

I was hopeful based on other reviews from Google. Now I question if I was even at the same restaurant.
