We have dined at Roxbury multiple times when in the area. We have never been disappointed. This trip we started with the crab dip and pimento cheese. The crab dip is great and the pimento cheese was good. My 13 yo got a Caesar salad and mac & cheese. She said the Caesar was the best she’s ever had. My wife and I shared the seafood platter with flounder and oysters They were fried lightly and not heavy at all. The real stars of the show for me are the sides. We got the sea island red peas and butter beans. I highly recommend trying them both. Also do yourself a favor and read up on the history of the sea island red peas…….also the history of the restaurant is interesting as well. You can read all about it on the menu.

We will definitely return!! The atmosphere was great, the tables were a good length apart so you could have conversations without yelling. The food was amazing!! We had the seafood plates with shrimp and flounder, and shrimp and oysters. We also ordered the shrimp and grits, which were great. I had the coconut cake for dessert!! It was definitely homemade!! Absolutely no doubt.

Great location, mediocre food and same with the service. Made it known that the appetizer we ordered, fried green tomatoes were crunchy…not good. We got an odd giggle and nothing further. It was also not removed from the bill or reduced. Dinner menu is very limited, we endure up combining appetizers and wedge salads. Salads were the best part of the meal. Our Daughter did like and eat their fried shrimp.

Really great service and very enjoyable atmosphere! They have live music and an adorable fire pit area as well as inside and outside seating. We got shrimp boil and fish tacos! The brussel sprouts are a must order!

Food is amazing and atmosphere is great. Servers are very nice and polite but it takes forever to get food here. The recent time we spent a total of 3hrs in the restaurant and went way past closing. If this place could turn food faster it would be unbeatable but you have to plan on being here a long time if you want anything. Hopefully one day everything will work out

We have spent winter break in Edisto for the past two years, and I so wish we had stopped here sooner! The food and atmosphere are fantastic, and the service was top notch. The best thing about this place is the whiskey menu, incredible selection full of hard-to-find pours at shockingly reasonable prices. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect old fashioned, delicious food. Would have been 5 stars except the drink price on the menu did not match the bill. I know everything is going up these days but you should tell the customer if your posted drink prices are incorrect. We would still eat/ drink here again

I’ve driven past this restaurant many times but today we finally came to see what it’s all about. And it’s all about good — wonderful, fresh, delicious food and unique cocktails that were divine. An added bonus was sitting outside and being able to meet a couple of visiting dogs. Ann our server was great. A very positive experience all around -, we’ll be back!
