Took my girlfriend on a date here because I wanted somewhere fancy to eat to end my visit to Santa Barbara on a high note. Absolutely awesome atmosphere and gorgeous place. The food was 10/10

Waited 30 minutes on a very dead night for these $8 soggy fries. I was told this was a “medium amount” of fries by the bartender, but I don’t even think it’s more than a McDonald’s small fry. Very disappointed with the food and service at this place

As a native Buffalonian I was so excited to find out that the owner is from the Buffalo area. Brought my visiting family in and everyone was so happy to see the Buffalo Bills decor. Love a handwritten menu. Food was solid. The flavor of the wings was correct, but they were just tiny. Next time I’ll order a side with the wings. But for being 3000 miles from home, it hit the spot. I’ll definitely be back!

They tried but it was just not good. Long wait for food without flavor. Bland steak and pork chops paired with limp veggies that seemed frozen. Soupy pasta… The band seems cute though. Maybe a drinks spot.

This place was awesome. The house salad was the best I’ve had in such a long time! The hand made pasta and meatballs were delectable! It was empty on a Tuesday night which there’s nothing wrong with. Service was quick and delicious!

Went for Valentines dinner. Food and service were very good but i do have some constructiverecommendations. Nice place but clean up the bathrooms and I would have liked to have had one or two additional main course options to have available rather then just 3. And two of the 3 options weren’t Italian dishes which I found odd. And no pasta dishes. But overall, it was a very nice enjoyable dinner.

I was really disappointed in my meal after having read so many great reviews. The server was very friendly, however that’s the only positive thing I could say about the dining. The food service was quite slow; it took approximately 45 minutes to get from ordering to eating. I ordered the pasta with chicken and it was a total disappointment. The food was completely bland, the sauce was basically water, and I left about as hungry as I was when I came in. This was the first time I’ve ever had to use the salt shaker on the table at a restaurant. After all was said and done, $40 for watery bland pasta was not what I had in mind for a nice meal out. Maybe times have changed – I can’t recommend this place in good conscience.

Cool art and overall uniquely decorated space. Some of the food was great… other entrees lacked flavor at all. I loved the details, the handwritten menu, and the potato pancakes. We waited over 2 hours for our food (it was Christmas Day).

Roy is a Santa Barbara culinary and cultural jewel. Roy restaurant is as near an embodiment of an actual person as I’ve ever seen; in other words Roy has soul.
