I was in the area on business when I visited. It’s drive through only. The agents who took my order were effervescent and professional. If it wasn’t for business, I would’ve ordered other items. I would recommend Taste of Jamaica for every occasion. DC Stand Up!!

Only drive thru is open. Our first time there. The young man at the window was very helpful. No menu. He tells you what protein they have u pick rice and a side. My husband had the large oxtail rice n beans with green beans, he finish it. I had stew chicken over white rice, cabbage and yam! Everything was good. I didn’t get the heat from the food which works out great for my husband who can’t handle spice. I miss it that’s why they got the 4 star. Will definitely go again if we’re in the area.

Got the small stewed chicken with rice and cabbage and it was a full tray! Can’t imagine what the large is. Didn’t make it out of the parking lot before I demolished half the food and I’m stuffed.. that was delicious. Chicken just fell apart, and was so juicy. I’ll definitely be back

The food at this place is delicious! Best Jamaican food I’ve had anywhere. I got jerk chicken and ox tail combo which was a little pricey at $17.12. Next time one meat for $8 something. Must visit if you like Jamaican

Considering there are so few (if any?) Jamaican spots in the 252, I had to come take a trip to Rocky Mount to try a Taste of Paradise. We went early, and the staff was eager to please. Social distancing was in effect, and it was drive-through only. Very responsible. We had the brown stew chicken-so tender!!! Likely the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. I would have liked more sauce.. The cabbage was also very good. The rice and peas was just average. The beef patties were better than I’ve had in DC. Unfortunately, they didn’t have plantains when we went. All in all, this is a solid place to check out. It only missed a perfect five stars because of the absence of plantains and the average rice and peas.

Stopped by today for Oxtails but they were out. So, I got the Curry Chicken and it did not disappoint me! Can’t wait to try the Oxtails next. The young lady at the window was very polite and showed great Customer Service. See y’all soon!

The food is very good. It use to be my go to for Jamaican food because they served the meat with boneless meat and tray was full. Now they use bone in thighs and not much meat at all. Not only do you have to fight around the bones but it’s a lot less food

The food is alright and they give good portion sizes. I give it a 3 because I prefer Lee’s kitchen off capital better. I will say that the beef patty was good at Taste of Paradise and I could make a meal off those. But don’t take my word for it. Try for yourself.

By far the BEST Jamaican restaurant I’ve been to! Food is amazing! Great prices and portions! The staff is always extremely nice and have great conversation. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. All the sides are always great as well. If you’re in the area, definitely stop here!
