We had fried oysters and calamari appetizers as well as steamed King crab and shrimp with corn, potatoes and sausage. The menu says steamed, which I usually equate with bland. Royals great seasonings and spices, however, make it more like the great boiled seafood South Louisiana is so famous for, and far from bland. We especially liked that Royal offers several different seasoning combinations levels as well as heat levels. It was all very fresh and delicious. Service was great -attentive but not bothersome. Very clean and spacious. I highly recommend Royal Seafood.

Service and food is amazing. Me and my kids loved the presentation of the steamed seafood bags on the platter as well as getting to wear the crab bibs. The butter seasoning sauce on the shrimp and crawfish is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Will be back again soon!

Boi did I have to work for this food! 3 times I ordered the fried fish and shrimp and 3 times they brought out a partial order! I must say, “They weren’t even worth the wait! The only seasoning I could taste was the pepper. The onion rings were free due to the constant order mix-up. I’m glad cause if I had paid for them the level of disappointment would have been overwhelming. They are the low quality frozen onion rings that has the very thin supposedly sliced onion that has no onion flavor that’s breaded in breading that has no flavor! I also ordered the crawfish that’s boil-in-bag with potatoes, sausage, and corn. I imagine it would have tasted alright if I could have eaten it! There was so much grease in the bag and on the food I was afraid to try it! I don’t know if the grease came from the cheap sausage that was included or if they added margarine thinking that would add flavor. The corn literally had to be rung out with paper towels before it was edible!

Came down from north Alabama for a day job. Stopped in before I headed back up. I came based on the reviews. Food and service was great! I had cajun catfish fries and okra. They had a special 2.99 margarita that was very good. My cousin got the steamer bag and it was the best shrimp I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Give these people some love. I will definitely be back. I would suggest a more a la carte menu making it easier for people to just add certain items. Overall it was great.

This place was beyond amazing. As me and my husband were out for a drive, a bar highly recommended this place. So we went and were very surprised with how spacious the restaurant was, and how good the food is. Our waitress Candice was also great and made us feel comfortable. She also explained the menu to us without being annoyed. We will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends and family to this restaurant.

My husband and I were shopping at Lowe’s tonight. When checking out, the sales associate saw I lived in Semmes, and asked if I had ever eaten at Royal Seafood. We had not, but she was saying she heard it was good. With that we decided to check it out! It was delicious!!! I love how spacious the tables were and very clean! We will definitely be back

Pretty good when they first opened, but over time the service quality lowered a bit. Orders got messed up and the wait time got a bit longer. Although the food is top-notch, especially the shrimp. I’d recommend.
