Best breakfast burrito in town! As an LA native, I can confirm their burritos/ rice & beans are legit. One of the better burritos in the DMV. Good inside vibes and decorations too.

Would love to see this place succeed, but more work is needed on the food quality. I ordered takeout at the counter: cheese quesadilla and bean taco. The quesadilla was not anything special- felt overpriced for both size and taste. For the bean taco, I didn’t realize until I got home that they instead gave me a beef taco. (I didn’t eat it and am not basing this rating on that, but my husband said it was “fine I guess.”) The people are friendly, cute atmosphere, and the concept definitely has potential.

Neutral on the service and atmosphere. The chicken tacos tasted off (in a bad way) and when my friend compared it to canned Costco chicken it clicked. The chips and guacamole were served in a paper lunch bag and plastic sample cup which was underwhelming for the “dine-in” experience. The drinks were fine but hard to mess up a can of beer. If you’re looking for good Mexican I’d keep looking, otherwise you can get hydrated here.

Amazingggg tacos! The tortillas are house made, so fresh and soft. My friends and I (both meat eaters and vegetarians) all agreed that the bean burrito was best. Also loved the Tajin fruit cup. Incredibly fresh and flavorful. So lucky to have a new go-to taco spot close to home. Can’t wait to go back.

I really liked the food and atmosphere before they transitioned. I would bring all of my out of town friends in. Unfortunately this place is no longer a favorite of mine. The staff is as friendly as ever, great service and I will support because of them. I would say the tacos are overprices for the size and quality I ordered. The food just wasnt landing for me. I hope for improvement and I would love to see this business succeed.

Tried out Rubia’s this morning after being a loyal Stomping Ground customer. Will miss those biscuits but as a Southern Californian, I am thrilled to have incredibly delicious breakfast burritos out east! Portion size was perfect (not the gluttonous Chipotle-style), the chorizo was super flavorful and properly greasy, the crispy potatoes stayed crispy throughout, and the flour tortilla was super delicious and fresh (we saw them being made!). Will be back!

The shrimp salad is to die for…but my favorite thing on the menu is the Pina Colada Overnight Oats, I order lunch then grab one of those for later. The bean taco is the quiet shiner, I order it every time! Thank you for the berry iced tea too!

food was fresh, absolutely phenomenal, and service was quick and friendly. the atmosphere is bright, cozy, friendly, and safe. as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s really special to see pride flags proudly displayed. food is fresh always, local whenever possible. i had the bacon, egg, and cheese taco, a plain croissant, and chips and salsa. i would use these tortillas as delicious pillows. they’re soft and fresh and absolutely to die for. the croissant was HUGE and so delicately sweet. everything was so well executed and balanced. will definitely become a morning routine for me, right alongside bagel uprising next door.

Avocado and egg tacos were terrific (handmade tortillas!) and our daughter got a bean and cheese taco and declared “it’s delicious!” Can’t wait to see what they add for dinner!

We got the Bacon, egg and cheese and the Avocado and egg tacos with the blue corn shells. Both were delicious. It’s nice that there is a gluten free option.
