Ruby’s is my go to spot in Albany, NY. I get any of their dishes that have tofu in it because Ruby’s is the one spot where I feel like I get can great vegetarian options without losing a lot of flavor. They’re good is always so fresh and their service is always so sweet. I had no idea they were closed for the summer months and every week my friends and I look online to see when they’re coming back. No worries! I’ll be waiting, and I’m sure I’m not alone in missing their delicious food!

I can’t believe I didn’t realize this place was here. Only 2 minutes from my home. My favorite Chinese restaurant is in Hudson and living in Albany, I had given up on good Chinese. A random craving and a Google search led me here for takeout. Blown away! Coconut shrimp rice and Egg noodle duck. Two huge portions for a very reasonable price and 2O minute preparation time, accurate to the given estate on the phone. Highly recommend!!

Just keep in mind that Ruby runs late… about 30 minutes (sometimes 45-60min) late at night. They’re a small outfit stubbornly churning out high quality dishes in the minefield of Albany Chinese food. Set your expectations as waiting for quality rather than “having your time wasted” and the rest will be fine. Food is great, fresh, affordable, consistent, good variety. Seafood is fresh and hand-cleaned, sushi is excellent, bubble teas and slushies are awesome, hibachi is good.

I had the General Tso’s chicken with the pork fried rice. The chicken was great but the rice was a 10/10 I wish I could describe how special that rice is. Also the atmosphere of the place is awesome, absolutely order here next time you’re looking for fantastic Chinese food!

Small place that makes you feel like you walked into Japan. Had the wonton soup to start. It was really good!! For dinner I had the Thai basil with chicken. Not as good as it could’ve been bit considering it’s not a Thai restaurant. Good prices and great service.
