Wow. The ribs are absolutely delicious. Perfectly smoked with a BBQ sauce that pairs well and isn’t too sweet. We got a bunch of sides and the favorite was the potato salad which has a nice creamy tang that pair perfectly with the sauce. The beans was a miss, tasted too much like molasses and the mac was not as good as the potato salad but added some variety.

Got here late on Mother’s Day yesterday & was greeted warmly by a gentleman who told us they had limited offerings remaining but that he would make up what they had: Ribs, Potato Salad & Baked Beans. I am Texan okay? We do not play with BBQ in Texas. The ribs are hands down the best BBQ ribs I’ve had outside of Texas. I didn’t even think it was possible to compete with Texan BBQ in California! Well. This spot makes dreams come true apparently! I now refuse to get BBQ elsewhere. A true celebration of motherhood: sitting in bed gnashing on the heavenly Ruby Q ribs & moaning in glee all the way through.

Ruby Q Smoke Fusion is FANTASTIC! I ordered from their catering menu for a last minute event. All I can say is the food, the service, and the price was great. Thank you Ruby Q for making my event spectacular. Guests loved everything and continued to ask where they could get more. From the ribs, chicken, links, brisket, mac n cheese, beans…did I mention the brisket. The Brisket was my favorite as you can see. Banana pudding and peach cobbler was yummy. Everything was delicious. Best BBQ in the Town!

I got the ribs and brisket. The ribs were tender and brisket had a good chew. 5 stars. meat itself had a nice smoky flavor. Both BBQ sauces were very good. The side dishes are the best BBQ restaurantI’ve ever had. The bake bean and potato salad must try. I will definitely be back to try other meats and side dishes!

I recommend this business. The service was excellent.The ribs were tender, the meat fell off of the bones and I liked the barbecue sauce. The potato salad was good, it tasted homemade. The baked bean were okay. The peach cobbler was good but it was a bit overcooked. The portions were a good size and the price are fair. I will go back again.

Yesterday, I stumbled upon this place and I’m glad I did. I tried the peach cobbler and it’s very tasty. The owner is an Oakland native. He was so easy to talk to and shared his powerful testimony of wanting to cook to make a difference and keep his family history and Oakland roots strong. Our dollar has power and I encourage us to support it at this business.

I’m so happy to find Ruby Q by chance on Goole Map. We ordered 3 way combo, spare ribs, brisket, and chicken. All of them are delicious! I also like their potato salad. I want to try seafood gumbo too. Since I lile dry BBQ too, I’ll ask them to set the sauce on the side. Thanks, Ruby Q! 🙂

A Fruitvale Secret. This place is really incredible. Tiny, attached to a bar. huge portions but the best is the quality and price. It is so easy to get terrible quality BBQ in Oakland. Everything on the menu is top notch and you CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE. For BBQ it is so reasonable. Don’t sleep on the banana pudding, just get it.

Went for lunch today and I NEVER order sandwiches. Got the brisket sandwich and a side of collards today. Best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. Perfectly made. Greens were a bit tough ( maybe because I got a freshly done batch) but the seasoning throughout made me forget about that! The greens were delicious. I have no doubt any item on the menu will be delicious. Clean.
