Heard great things about this chain, particularly the locations in New Orleans. We ordered the shrimp special, French toast special, biscuits and pancakes and spicy fried chicken as well as the fried green tomatoes. The menu looked unique and delicious but nothing stood out in particular. Perhaps my favorite was the fried green tomato starter but that was mostly bc of the sauce. The nice part though was being able to join a wait list online and being seated immediately. When we arrived, there was barely any wait anyway. On a plus side, servers were all nice.

Was visiting the area for work and wanted to try somewhere new so Ruby Slip it was. It was a busy Friday morning but we were able to get sat fairly quick in the bar which wasn’t the best place. The bartender not only has to server the bar, but other close by tables, and has to make all the restaurants special drinks. Bartender was cool guy but was way to busy to give decent service. Food was good but felt like it could have been much better. Ordered appetizer of some candied bacon which was not worth it and it came out at the same time of meal. Half the food was cold the other half hot. My chicken and French toast was pretty good besides toast being way over cooked. My partners shrimp and grits that we paid extra to get cheese had no cheese and was pretty bland. Menu is full of classics and new treats. Not best experience but maybe try them again.

Ate here 2 days in a row and both days the food was GREAT. Day 1 I got the Spanish Omelette and day 2 I got the Eggs Benedict COCHON. I enjoyed the omelette more. The iced coffee was really GOOD! Our server was Maddie. She was very nice and attentive.

Service and food was great! I had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Because it’s on the resort this place gets busy. For our big group of 10, we had a 1 hour wait time for a table. Staff was very nice and our waiter was constantly coming around to ask if we needed anything. Cant wait to come back next time!

Great brunch at Ruby Slipper Cafe in Baytowne Wharf! We got there perfect time and did not have a wait! I got the mimosa flight. Not sure I would get it again but cool and different flavors. I got the biscuits and gravy. Wow! Very good and very filling! Breakfast tacos and egg benedict was also very good! I highly recommend you stopping here for breakfast/brunch if your in Baytowne!

First time trying this chain. It happened to be the opening for this location when I chanced upon the place and I was one of the few people that were there early. Ambiance, I will say, was bright and inviting modern theme in contrast to locations environment. Food is great. Food presentation, there’s room for improvement. Service is great. I’ll recommend it to people to try.

It’s hard to choose because there are so many good foods on the menu. A really delicious place for brunch. Be prepared for a small fee for being at the Bayside Wharf. It’s a neat area with little shops but things are expensive. Very wealthy area. But the Ruby Slipper prices are consistent with the place in Pensacola which is equally delicious. However, the famed biscuits are sort of tough.

The food was so dang good. I have to knock off a point for the location. It’s in a gated community, we thought we were lost, then had to park in a packed parking garage. Wait time was over an hour. That made it a little disappointing, but again, food was delish.

A group of 5. Our waitress was training another young woman. They alternated between checking on us. The French toast bites are decent. The beignets are good. The loaded tater tots are delicious.
