I’ve been trying to get off work in Franklin, and get to this cafe in time before they closed. I made it today, and boy was I stunned. For a mere 15 dollars I got a drink, meat and two sides, and a nice piece of cornbread. I felt very welcome and the staff were all polite and prompt, even with me coming in close to close. Would’ve loved to try a fried pie, but I ran out of time. All the more reason to return!!

My wife and I were in Lewisburg for an appointment and decided to get a bite to eat, and found Ruby’s Cafe on Google. I had the chorizo burger, my wife the chicken club, and we shared some apple crisp. Everything was Delicious, and the service was exactly what is to be expected from a southern independent cafe.

Unless you like cornbread cake choose a roll it was way too sweet for me…portions are kid sized and I paid 2$s extra for 2 dressed eggs and yes small eggs…for the price the portion needs to be more…36$s for 2 meat and 2…a order of dressed…and 2 sweet teas…sorry but 1 and done for me

Today was my first time getting food from Ruby’s. I had breakfast and ordered the country fried steak with white gravy. It came with two eggs hash browns and a biscuit. I called it in as a to-go order and it was ready in about 10 minutes. Everything was cooked perfectly and looked good. The eggs were light and fluffy scrambled I asked for the hash browns to be cooked light and they looked a beautiful golden brown. I also added a pancake and it was cooked to perfection as well. The biscuit was golden brown as well and fluffy and soft. I was pleasantly surprised that the gravy did not have sausage as I do not eat pork. I had called beforehand to ask a few questions and was thrilled that they had a drive-thru as I have recently had knee surgery. I will definitely go back again. Hopefully next time for lunch. If I had to describe the food it would be down-home country cooking, but without all the greasiness. Hopefully in the future I will be able to dine in and give a review on the inside as well. Thanks to the gentleman who answered my questions and gave me my food.

I just had one of greatest breakfast experiences since I was a kid. The waitress had some old county music playing and she was humming to every tune. Took me back in time to when my grandfather would take me to get pancakes at his favorite spot in town. Keep playing that old school stuff miss waitress…
