We were in New Mexico from Flint Michigan for my cousins wedding..I wanted to bring authentic Tamales back to Michigan for me and my friends . I’m so glad we stopped here and tried theirs, some of the best pork tamales I’ve ever had, we brought back 5 dozen.. and we bought some pig skins and thy were the biggest I’ve ever seen. Love the atmosphere it was like old town Mexico a a nice small family owned restaurant.. wish we had one here

Waited 35 minutes for 2 orders of rolled tacos. Multiple families of all Spanish speaking people came in after us and all received orders before us. Finally asked about our food and told it was given to someone else and would be another 10 minutes b4 it was ready. Asked for a refund because clearly they were not interested in serving us. My advice is to avoid if you don’t speak Spanish.

The tamales are amazing but getting them is tough. I don’t speak Spanish and they don’t speak English so twice now I have been dismissed, English seems to make them uncomfortable I’ll attempt to speak Spanish next time because I have been craving these tamales and hate going down the road to the carniceria on the corner (the tamales aren’t as good)

Stopped in here after flying in from vacation. Ruby is the sweetest person you will ever meet. Her food is delicious. It’s a small dining area, but totally worth the experience! Some Spanish language is helpful… Don’t forget to go home with some tamales if available.
