This place was excellent. The food, the drinks and the service was so good . We ate outside with our dog and it was such a nice place. I am very fussy and if I say it’s good it’s good. I haven’t found many places that were that good. We went there on Tuesday Aug 29 at about 415 pm.

Great waitstaff and service!! The fried chicken is awesome and the beans are the best I have ever had. Great strong drinks for a reasonable price!

Great place for fish and chips. Friendly staff. More of a locals place. Not as touristy. Love the big windows in the front. Great selection of local beers. Parking in back makes it easy to walk around.

My family begs to eat here and the last two visits we had were not good. A few months ago my son got burnt badly by the water in the bathroom and I let the manager know it absolutely was not up to code. Hopefully they have fixed the water since we went before theres a lawsuit and a kid gets badly burned. Last night I finally agreed to get take out there and couldn’t believe the kids meal and my 8 year old couldn’t believe it either and he doesnt eat much. The chicken tenders and fries for the price was the smallest portion I’ve ever seen and they aren’t even homemade chicken tenders they are frozen. I reached out to them via social media asking if that portion size was really their size or a mistake and they didn’t respond so figured I’d share here.

Homemade chips were really great (and the sauce has nice kick to it). Had the fried chicken, the Caesars salad with chicken and clam chowder. Lots of good clam in the chowder, the salad was fresh. Chicken was super fresh (very hot) and very crispy without being burned. Beans were tasty too.

I see the potential of this place. Nice location, great little bar and half the food we have had from there is really good. They could use an upgrade on portion size, staff attention to details of orders (have had to many instances of missing items) and attentive servers/bartenders. I will give them another try in the future and hope they take some of the advice.

Another jewel tucked away in the lap of “old kittery”. Both inside and outdoor seating. An excellent diverse menu. I had the sofrshell po-boy. Mmmm! Prices a little on the high side but worth every cent. Service is excellent and waitstaff attentive. A greatcway to spend a warm Maine summer day.

We had the best time. Every staff member was so friendly. Service was top notch. We were encouraged to sample beers ahead of time before ordering them to make sure we liked them. Our food was excellent. My husband had the house pulled pork and fries. The fries were soooo good and we really enjoyed the “island ketchup”. I had the red beet and arugula salad. Our cocktails -the painkiller, especially was SO GOOD. I had a grapefruit mule. We aren’t local but we would love to come back.

We happened upon Rudders as we were looking for a place for dinner on our way home to New Hampshire from Portland Maine. A nice surprise…great food and friendly staff, casual and inviting atmosphere! Will definitely visit again!

Dinner was OK. Prefer not to have paper cups. Place was super loud and not super full to the point that we couldn’t carry on a normal voice conversation just at our table. Server and waitstaff were pleasant.
