Not really sure what is the best dish. Definitely not the chicken tacos. I got 2 soft tacos for $16 ridiculous price. The chicken was terrible, I picked up the taco and it fell apart. Worst money spent. How do you make a wet soggy taco and the chicken is dry. Ridiculous never coming here again. Not worth a star.. worth -5 stars.

Loved it. Food was high quality and delicious. A friend of mine said he didn’t care too much for the food when he visited last year. That was definitely not our experience. The food and service were both great when we visited. No complaints. We will definitely be returning.

Initially stopped by old Town Monrovia to have breakfast at Cafe de Olla but was very busy and glad we did otherwise we would not have found this GEM of a restaurant. We were promptly greeted and taken to a booth where our order was taken in no time at all. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! The 3 of us agreed that the food was prepared authentically by a experienced chef. Usually you find the food is good and the sides not so much but to our delight everything was as my daughter says, “scrumptious.” We definitely left w a big smile on our faces and bellies content and will stop by again to try something new on their menu

We planned a birthday party here in the back room for about 25 people for my grandmother. When we got there nothing had been set up to accommodate us. We trickled in slowly as the family arrived and had to tab our own menus because they were short staffed. Half of us never got drinks. They took the orders table by table but food came out all over the place. It was a pretty bad experience overall.

I have been coming to Rudy’s Mexican Restaurant in Monrovia for over 20 years. It is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in LA. Family friendly, great food, a happy atmosphere, and wonderful Margaritas! All of my friends and family living both in Monrovia and the wider San Gabriel Valley area agree, Rudy’s is the Best!

Called the night before to reserve a table for 10 people. They gladly took our reservation. Everyone was happy with food and service. Great place to celebrate a birthday lunch. Glad my son picked Rudy’s. All the best Mexican food choices were on the menu.

Food was decent, we had a table of 8 and they messed up one of the orders which was ok. There was also a 3% charge if you do not pay with cash which was also ok as we had cash. The part that got me is the handwritten receipt.. you can see here that it is very difficult to read. We didn’t notice at the time but the total was $159 and then it jumped to $185 so the waiter gave himself a $26 tip. This is common for a large party except for he failed to mentioned this and it was not listed anywhere on the messy receipt so we ended up double tipping. When we first got the check, I asked about splitting the bill and the server acted like it was going to be a lot of work (I think so we don’t notice the extra tip portion). We ended up tipping another $33 on top of the $26 tip he gave himself. Server got $59 in tip total, was very slimy. Feel bad because this is the server’s doing, not the restaurant. It just leaves a bad image/taste

my friend and I came to this restaurant and were seated quite fast. we were given our drinks and both ordered Are meals without an appetizer. My friend had a bloody Mary and said it was pretty good. The chips were good but the salsa was kind of running very chunky. Also the tables don’t give a lot of room for bigger people So that was a little uncomfortable. The restaurant is clean and wheelchair accessible. I did enjoy my meal I had shrimp and it was very well done.
