Came to this restaurant with high hopes based on the reviews. I received my food & it was raw & I felt extremely sick after one bite. I asked the waitress is there any way I can have this removed from the bill because I did not like the food. She stated that since there was nothing wrong with it I could not & I couldn’t swap it for anything else on the menu. I politely asked for a Manager. The manager came & was upset that the fact that I even asked to have it taken off the check. She did remove it but charged me for a salad that came with the meal.. I paid it just so I could leave the restaurant. I will never come back here again. If I could give zero stars I would. Poor customer service

Well, first time ordering here, I ask for my burger to be medium rare, it’s completely cooked through. Also but into a lovely surprise. A twisty tie. I was about to be fine about the twisty tie, but then the burger being cooked the way I wanted, really upsetting.

Best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Authentic, quality food, the desserts were baked in-house and delicious. Wonderful experience. Thank you Rudy & Sasha!

I have been here several times for dinner, it was always delicious. Sunday morning I stopped for breakfast for the first time, I will definitely returned. Everything was awesome!

Was invited to Dinner at the “Italian Association” not realizing this was the same owner/chef from V&R on Madison Ave. While the atmosphere is different from the intimacy of the old location, we couldn’t get enough of the Bruschetta appetizer and (for me) the Veal Tuscany did not disappoint. The flavors were distinctive with each bite (haven’t enjoyed enough genuine homemade Italian since the pandemic). And for the record while the atmosphere isn’t “intimate” like the old space, it’s far better for group gatherings. Large bar, you can enjoy dinner and hear all of the conversation in your group, etc. I’ll be back there regularly. Also got to meet chef Rudy who genuinely appreciated our comments and feedback when circling the tables to say hello to a familiar face at ours. Well done.

We visited Rudy’s V&R at their new location at the West Albany Italian Benevolent Club on Exchange St off Everett Rd in Albany. New location is spacious and they will host parties & special events. Formerly they were on lower Madison Ave in Albany, We went for dinner on Sat 2/19/22 at 6pm. No reservation, but they are recommended.

I am always looking for a great family-owned Italian restaurant. This was the worst Italian meal I have had ever.

Quaint and on a quiet side street near Everett Road, this is a really enjoyable place for an unassuming and well prepared Italian classics & comfort food (dinner or lunch) They open early with a breakfast menu too!

I heard V&R Restaurant has moved to a new location. It moved from Madison Avenue to the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society on Exchange Street. My partner and I went with some friends to their new location.
