This place was amazing! Hidden gem near Indiana Beach. They have a fantastic appetizer sampler, with fried pickle spears, cheese curds, jalapeno poppers, onion rings, garlic bread sticks, and a couple other things I can’t remember. Everything in the sampler was great, burgers were also really good. Bonus is the place wasn’t very busy for lunch, went there 2 days in a row, really worth it. They were training new staff, service was a little slow, but I wasn’t in much of a hurry anyway. Staff was very accommodating, really nice folks.

Throughly enjoyed our stop at Rugies. Sports bar with really excellent food. We split the pork tenderloin and it was fantastic. Juicy and tender pork with crispy edges, served with all of the fixins– red onion, tomato, lettuce. Steak fries were good and HOT! All of the food was served quickly and so hot! We also ordered a pizza and it did not disappoint. The crust was chewy and the toppings were very generous– our pizza was overflowing with pepperoni and banana peppers and tons of perfectly melted cheese. Friendly staff and great, local, beer selections (normally 17 taps). Bathrooms were retro, I swear I was at the local skating rink circa 1983, but the water was HOT . Small arcade in the back of the restaurant and plenty of parking (we were in our 25′ RV). Would not hesitate to recommend Rugie’s, and will def stop by the next time we’re passing through. Excellent!

Wait staff was great and attentive, food was great. I got the double burger and it was flavorful, and filling. Burgers are huge. tenderloin was really good too. Looks like it was hand breaded and cooked just right, same with the chicken strips.

Our family wanted pizza, and we were directed to this establishment. The food took about 30 minutes, and came out piping hot. The waitress was attentive, but seem to be a bit annoyed by the fact that she had customers to wait on. Regarding the pizza, it is a thicker style crust, which we happen to like, however, it is covered with TOO MUCH CHEESE. The sauce is thin and somewhat bland, and we thought that the cheese obscured the flavors of the specially pizzas that we purchased (meat lovers and the Hawaiian special). The atmosphere is like a garage with terribly annoying chairs that grade along the floor and make it difficult to hear. This place must’ve been a garage first and then was converted into a restaurant later. There are other restaurants, but not many in the immediate vicinity. This place is not bad, it just is not great when it comes to pizza. Other items on the list may be fantastic, and we wish them the best.

My granddaughter and I went to a pizza and painting event and we had an amazing time! It was one of the most affordable indoor events and very friendly, clean, and staff made us feel like we were family at a family event. We are from our of town and this will be a place we will be returning. Any income level please check out the many events I can’t wait to go to a free bingo night. I can’t say enough about this place now and the mozzarella sticks my granddaughter says wow these are the BEST!

Our waitress was great. Always kept our drinks full. I had the wings and the appetizer sampler. Both were great. Food was good. Pizza could have been done a little more. The middle was a little soggy but it’ll be fine once we heat it up for left overs.

Quick and friendly service. The pizza was definitely great! I will agree it is the best pizza in Indiana (even though I have not been to most of Indiana). Definitely gives Chicago local pizza restaurants a run for it’s money.

We came here to have lunch & ended up ordering appetizers. Everything was delicious! Great portions sizes & very friendly staff. I was impressed with the decor & definitely felt at home. Very casual & laid back environment. I definitely recommend gathering the family or your close friends & coming over. I was really impressed & look forward to coming back.

Great service, food comes out fast and is good quality bar food. Large proportions for the price, make sure you are hungry if you are getting food. Average bar I would guess.
