I never leave reviews but the food here was fantastic. We got the pork soup dumplings, orange chicken, and general Tso chicken. It was by far the best orange chicken I’ve ever had. My fiancé’s chicken was amazing as well. The woman at the front was very kind and the portions are generous! It’s a small restaurant but deserves to be full every day. We will absolutely be back! Sorry we dove in eating before I took the pictures.

We ordered the chicken fried rice, cashew shrimp with white rice, and egg rolls, and loved every bit of it! Will definitely be back!

For lunch with friends. Ordered a few with 2 “real” dishes. Those two were a bit of a surprise for me. 锅包肉 more like orange sliced pork, and 水煮鱼 has a totally unexpected twist. They were actually quite good. I liked those dishes even they were not authentic. The only negative was the tough rice.

After reading many reviews on this restaurant, we decided to try it for dinner tonight. The gal that helped us was very nice and attentive. We were the only ones in the restaurant, so that should have said something, but…I had the beef flat noodles and my partner had the Mongolian beef. Neither of our food had any flavor whatsoever, and my partner commented that his Mongolian beef had a musty taste. This was by far the worst Chinese food we’ve ever eaten. We will not be going back to Run Da again

I liked their food. It was tasted really good. My only issues are that the drinks are individually served with no refills, and the air-conditioning is way turned up. It was hot both times. But the food was good.

We have been going to Red Lantern for years. It seems Red Lantern closed & has been replaced by Run Da. Several menu items are the same, but just not the same flavor. I’m giving this place a 3 because it’s just ok. Red Lantern was a 5 for sure. We just felt something was missing in the food. I also had the glass noodles with curry. Sorry I didn’t get pics. That was my favorite thing from. Red Lantern and they just missed the mark. Hopefully this place will improve.

Wow wow wow! We have been searching for a good Chinese place in Mckinney for yeeeeeeaaaaarrrrs. We used to be Imperial Garden fans but their food has really not been good for many years now (and the price is high for what you get). And we have had the same experience with Red Lantern…. We tried Run Da on Christmas Eve this year for the first time and this will now be our go-to spot for Chinese food from now on. Every dish we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! Highly recommend.

We have been driving to Plano for years to get spicy fried fish – thrilled Run Da has opened and serves it! We also tried an American Chinese dish that was great. Very reasonable prices for quality food and generous portions. Clean restaurant and friendly service as well.

Chill atmosphere and the service was pleasant but the flavor of the food was below par. I really wouldn’t recommend this place as a “must go” , but rather more of a “ it’s last minute and I need to eat something quick to fill my stomach” sort of place.

Service was great. A huge variety on the menu. Prices were decent. Didn’t have to wait too long for the food. Singaporean noodles were delicious. EXTREMELY disappointed with the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Super bland and meat didn’t taste completely cooked. Will never order this again. Willing to go back and try something else from the menu.
