I grew up in Lexington for 35 years, this isn’t it… I came back 5 times, and every time was an “experience”…. And not the good one. I try to give my local bars support, but after a half a dozen times… I’m done. I wish nothing but the best for RT, but just not for me. Which is weird because growing up here, it was a great place…but treated liked trash lately and given up on a place called home. Hope it gets better, but highly doubt it.

We came with a group of 11 people and while the karaoke was fun they were understaffed and the fryers were down so only food was burgers. Probably will not visit again.

The new owner is absolutely amazing! 100% turn around from my last experience here when it was shady shores. Great and fast bar staff! Awesome food and 2 pool tables the bar is setup great! Lively fun crowd on the weekend as well!

If you are not from the area, do not waste your time in the evening. We were in town for a wedding and wanted a few drinks afterwards. We sat at the bar for 20 minutes while people on either side of us were served and treated warmly by the bartenders and we didn’t even get greeted. They were a little busy but not too busy, two of the three bartenders working even had a 3 minute conversation with their back turned to everyone. We left before being served.

My girlfriend and her 5 or so friends went to the bar tonight to get a couple drinks and catch up with each other after a few years of college and some distance. All of their Id’s were scanned upon ordering drinks. They are all 21 years old or older, some with military ID’s even!! Upon request they all gave their ID’s to the worker/bartender who attempted to scan each individually. None of them scanned which pointed to a faulty scanner. When shown proof and a LITERAL military ID they were still refused service. Incredibly frustrating and outrageous. Don’t go to Rustic Tavern if you want an alcoholic beverage! Ridiculous!

Asked ahead of time what the policy was for minors and was told “State law says…” I know there is no state law, but agreed to their policy. After we get there for a late dinner and some karaoke I was told the owner decided that my 16 year old had to leave within 30 minutes, so we left and went elsewhere for dinner. As a “local” I have gone there several times over the last few months but I will not be going back there again.

The owner is very disrespectful and rude to her customers. I posted a comment about the drinks getting weaker and more expensive on a post she posted and then the next day she threw me out of the bar. I even talked to her previous about the drinks and she told me if i don’t like it then don’t come back. Pretty sad this is how she treats local/regular customers.
