Rusty Taco Menu – Albuquerque, NM

Type : Taco restaurant

Location : Albuquerque, NM

Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand.

The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome.

We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!

Homegrown mini-chain serving a variety of tacos, breakfast fare, beer & margaritas in festive digs. Based on 811 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.1 stars. Price $

We happened to stumble upon Rusty Taco quite serendipitously during our day out, and boy, are we pleased we made the decision to give it a try! This vibrant and welcoming establishment offers an impressive array of delicious taco options, with each one tantalizing your taste buds and leaving you craving more.

We went here for a quick bite and we had the family pack of tacos. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I wanted tot try the shrimp dynamite taco-which was a special taco-and the staff made the regular shrimp taco up like the dynamite taco. That had excellent flavor.

Unfortunately this location has gone downhill. My most recent visit was 8.12.23 I ordered the same thing I always order and everything was gross and poorly assembled. Attached you will find a photo of a spicy fried chicken that was burnt and drowned in Valentina to cover the nastiest. It was so soggy and completely inedible. My shrimp taco was wet, water literally dripped out of the taco. Very disappointed and we have not returned, not sure we will.

Decent place for Mexican food. Prices are low but their serving sizes are small too. Service is fast.

My sister and I ate here for dinner about a half hour before closing time, not crowded at all and we were the last to leave. The food was good, the waiter was friendly and helpful, In explaining some of the names on the menu. Never thought about putting pineapple on a taco before… But it tasted really good!!!

I had a carne asada taco and a green chile chicken taco off the specialty menu. The tacos had good flavor. The service was not good. The tacos took over 12 minutes, and they did not seem busy. Other people at the restaurant seemed to be waiting a long time also. I will try this location again someday.

Food was good, we were the only customers and just about every table dirty. Queso was really good, as well as the fish tacos. Service was a bit so especially with so few customers.
