Sara the owner is like none other. She stopped to check on us and our food after she dropped it off after slaving over the grill with love. Twice! She is so much fun and genuinely cares about making sure your belly is full and you are loved as soon as you come in. So glad they’re back in town!!! Went for the teriyaki cauliflower wings during their soft opening. The space is a little smaller than their earlier one on O Street, but it feels oh-so-cozy, and parking is heaps better. Wishing they’ll be around for a good long while.

I was visiting a friend in Lincoln for 5 days and went to Rutabagas 4 times, that’s how much I loved this place. The food was excellent: unexpected faves include the biscuit for brunch and the side salad, but everything I tried was super yummy! And it was a great spot to go by myself and get some work done, or to go with a group of people. Also the red-haired lady at the counter recognized me after my second visit and was awesome, so shout-out to her! I only wish there was a place like Rutabagas near where I live in New Jersey; it’s definitely better than any of the restaurants in my area. I hope I get a chance to visit again when they’re in their new location!

The FOOD is worth the $ delicious and dont feel like I’m over doing it I’m so happy me and my boyfriend found this place today just walking by. Really excellent vegan comfort food. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Cool atmosphere. The spicy chick’n sandwich and fried pickles are a must! My partner got a daily special, Kim chi burger, which was awesome and unique! Will be back here to eat.
