Update 2: I keep wanting to give this place another chance, but this is my last time going. They didn’t have a lot of menu items. We waited 45 minutes for appetizers, I was served rotten green chicken wings, and they tried to tell me it was herbs. Also, the bartenders can not make drinks to save their lives. Worst restaurant ever. The manager is a really big guy who saw what happened and didn’t come over to apologize or address the situation. DO NOT GO THERE! I’m calling the health department.

The food is not what it used to be. The wings were awful, and my shrimps were cooked too hard and definitely not colossal in size, but those frozen drinks were on point.

RYMKS (pronounced remix ) was an excellent dining experience! First and foremost, my waitress, Lee T., went over and beyond. It has been a long time since I have had that level of customer service! I enjoyed the music in it was at a volume that I could still converse with my party. I had the opportunity to try the lemon pepper turkey wings, fried fish, fried chicken, collards, mac and cheese, and corn. The lemon pepper turkey wings are delicious and do not have an overbarren flavor; the fried fish and chicken are on point! I am a little disappointed that they do not have TexasPete hot sauce, but that’s my personal preference. My collards were good, but they were not hot. The mac and cheese have great flavor and texture! The corn is unmatchable! Each entree comes with a bed of rice, and unfortunately, it looked and tasted old. Honestly, I hope they get rid of the rice because the dinners come with two sides anyways. 9 out of 10 recommend.

Our server was really nice but that was the only redeeming trait of this restaurant. The music is so loud you cannot hear your server, anyone else at the table, or even your own thoughts. We watched other people leave because of the music volume, but we stayed hoping the food would still be good, and it was, until a piece of wire was found in the salad. We were appreciative of them removing the cost of the salad from our ticket, but still concerned with the rest of our food. Whenever we paid we were also not told a tip had already been included, and not given a paper receipt to look at, only an electronic total, so I added a tip on top and only saw that there were two after I was sent a text copy of the receipt.

The chicken was seasoned very well the blue grits with the cheddar cheese were really good. The oxtail and grits were good as well. The services very good. The music had me moving and singing in my seat.

Nice establishment for the day scene and night life, we were happy to come across this Black-owned Business late on a Monday night. The place was nice and spacious, with a bar area to the right and the upper left provided more comfortable seating. We seemed to have the place to ourselves aside from the staff and a few others that came and went. The waitress was very personable, answered various questions about a wide variety of menu items, which made it easier to narrow down the picks. The staff helped warm the ambiance for us by turning the music on in the upper level and the waitress dimmed the lights, possibly in response to hearing we were visiting leading up to our anniversary. Food review: the deep fried turkey was ON POINT and came on a bed of rice (yum) in addition to two sides. I wish I’d enjoyed the sweet potatoes and greens more. Hubby had the jerk chicken philly, flavorful and tender with seasoned fries. He also ordered the jerk rib tips, not so tender but liked the sauce; it came with plantains and BABY! We were also blessed with a surprise sampler of mac n cheese (YESSSS), salmon salad (MMMM) and brussel sprouts with jerk turkey bacon (YESSIR)! While we were deciding what to order, the waitress stepped out to take a puff break and obtained coverage until she returned. Great teamwork and accomodations!

I went during a week day. No hostess at the welcoming desk. I made way to the bar and was informed that I could sit at any table. Nice ambiance with soothing R&B. Angel was my waitress and was serving the entire bar area. She was amazing! She reviewed the happy hour specials that ended at 7pm and recommended appetizers and entrees. The crab, spinach, and artichoke dip was tasty with sparse crab lumps. The blackened chicken and Cobb salad was a nice mix of sweet and savory. The maple mustard salmon dressing was an excellent combination! Only draw back was the salmon was cooked hard/over done. The sweet potatoes are more spice than candied. The bake mac and cheese and red velvet cake were on point! Bathroom was clean and there are two pool tables available for use. Overall, I enjoyed the vibes, food, and will definitely come back again!

Drinks were very delicious and strong: rymks island punch and strawberrywater highly recommended. Jerk bbq tips were good could’ve been softer. Catfish was nice and crispy flavorful. Lemon pepper turkey wings were delicious. Mac and cheese was a little on the dry side. Collard greens were good but we didn’t have much juice was dry. Salmon bites were off the chain. Crab egg rolls were on point. Jerk bbq chicken was a little on the burnt side but was tasty. The flavored wings were okay nothing special. We watched the Ravens game and stood an hour or 2 after that for 2 on 2 pool and more shots. The Moscato was nice and chilled. Would definitely go back and recommend anyone to try them. Crowd was diverse, lots of seating indoor and some out. Next time we’ll try the hookah. For chill spot 10/10.
