Whenever we go on vacation, we always try to find a local place for breakfast on our last day before we head home. Today we stopped at S&H Good Eats Cafe. It’s a small place that you can tell has a big heart. The food came out quickly, and was delicious. The price was beyond reasonable. If I was a local, I would definitely be a regular here.

I came here with my dad on May 27th for lunch. I had been here a few times before and gotten their breakfast and it has always been a good experience. Since I decided to get a lunch menu item this time, my dad had recommended the roast beef poboy so that’s what I got. To preface this, I don’t like my poboys dressed, I like meat and gravy only on my roast beef poboys. When this is what was delivered to my table I was shocked. Yes I asked for the poboy to not be dressed, but I didn’t think that would mean I’d get almost no meat… I ate the roast beef without the bread because let’s be real, there’s not nearly enough meat on there to constitute an actual sandwich. The beef tasted good and had great flavor but I was finished in 3 bites. I left very unsatisfied and still hungry. I’m sad because I’ve really enjoyed this place in the past but unfortunately won’t be back anytime soon.

Really really good. Don’t sleep on this place. My wife has been passing this place her whole life but we never were able to catch it before they closed. We took a chance one Sunday and it was excellent! Fresh and homemade with generous portions. I’d recommend the Country Fried Steak breakfast and my wife recommends the Scrambled Mess. If they got the Chicken Tortilla soup, get a bowl. You won’t regret it. Don’t be discourage if there are people waiting on the porch, the wait is worth it! We can’t wait to go back!

What an amazing place! The food was awesome. This has to be some of the best home cooked food from a restaurant I have ever had in my life. I travel often and I have been to almost every state in the union and hands down this is some of the best food in America. If you are ever in the area this has to be on your to-do list.

I really, really enjoyed my breakfast! This place was highly recommended on Facebook and they did not disappoint! My meal was hit and fresh and they really gave me what I ordered. I felt a little spoiled because it was just that good! I’ve been twice and I’ll be back many more times to come!!

BEST BREAKFAST food I have ever eaten in my entire life!!! Everything on the menu is so amazing… well except that you maybe should make the building a little larger and add more tables due to the popularity of this place! Please expand to a larger building. The breakfast was really good! The biscuits were not GA biscuits though, but still edible! Maybe it was the humidity? Our waitress was very nice. The seating space is super small, but it was still nice.

If you judge this place from the outside, you will miss a great meal. We had breakfast here on the 1st day of our vacation. Our waitress was wonderful. The food was outstanding. I had the small portion of the breakfast burrito with green chili. The small was even more than I could eat. It came with Grits and a very tall biscuit. My husband had the Mess with green chili. He loved it and it was a huge portion. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. You should give it a try if ever in Slidell.
