The food was authentic and ready to serve! If you want a quick, delicious and warm meal, this is the spot in Auburndale. I will absolutely drive from Lakeland to come here again! The service was quick and the 2 ladies inside were very welcoming. I got the roast pork plate with yellow rice, plantains and a Cuban. The Cuban was made with the roast pork.

This was a small place with a comfortable feel. The food was good. I had arroz con gandules with beans and pernil. It was very tasty and affordable. Nothing fancy but very good. Exactly what I like. I forgot to take a pic before I started eating because it smelled amazing.

Place was clean and have a tranquil environment. There were 2 ladys serving. One is the owner and the other one staff member. The staff lady (sorry but dont know her name) was really nice and made a great mogongo. Sorry that O cannot say the same from the owner. About the food we told the owner (found at the end she was) that the fried potatoes with churrasco ($17) were cold. We ask not to change the plate but to warm up the food in a microwave trying not to have her do a new plate but she said there’s were no microwave there. She didn’t bother to offer us a new plate. My friend continue to eat but because ot was cold I asked her if she can please change the plate. She did as per our request. We asked for mogongo with chicken breat but she gave us chicken thight and then the breast (only for the breast was $7.00 and marked as half chicken). The rest of the food was ok. At the end when my husband was asking her about the bill she got mad. I asked her who was the owner and she said was her. I told her she need to improve her customer service skills and she said there,s only 2 of them because it was a new place and didnt have for more.employees. I didn’t mind to wait or to pay but her manners doesn’t have anything to do with having 2 people. Again the other lady was super sweet.

I went to visit for the first time on Thursday 3/2/23 it was around 3 p.m… The food displayed nothing compare to the pictures they have online “false advertisement “. The young lady attending me and my daughter wasn’t that friendly when we asked if that was all they served.. when I say they had barely food out barely food….she gave me a blanked look, a customer intervened stating I can place an order from menu if we wanted to.. “a customer”…. we ordered from the menu and had to wait I figured let me order a plate of food already done since we’re waiting and we’re hungry . I ordered lunch white rice with oxtails the portion was small so I thought but ok let’s eat! It was okay 1 out of 10… I’ll give it a 6.5. We waited about 30 minutes for the rest of the food. My additional order on menu was (3) alcapurrias, 1 order of fries with chicken, jibarito sandwich “plantain sandwich” with chicken. My total was $50. I was cool with it at the time it is what it is food etc is expensive now but When I get home and opened the containers I had (2) alcapurrias still raw on the inside. The jibarito sandwich the plantain still raw in some parts and with lettuce that was going bad. The fries and chicken was for a 5 year old serving size was ridiculous for my 19 year old son. For some folks they might like this spot but me and mines will never return again. I’m too much of a foodie to spent my money when is not worth and appreciated for.

So happy that we have this Latin Restaurant so close. I decided to stop in and take out. Well, I wasn’t disappointed. Had their beef stew and it was awesome. The passion fruit juice was also great! Highly recommended!
